I just finished re-organizing everything (modulo the three modules that show up afterwards), and it really a joy to use. :) Had to get creative to use the racks I have and accommodate the monitors.

Either you posted this recently in a NLC thread, or there are a LOT of people here with a ridiculous amount of NLC love.

I am on my first two NLC modules myself, and when I first began posting here, I used to see pics like this one and could not even fathom having that many modules, especially by the same manufacturer. Now I see the error of my ways.

Maybe the case is low and he's a tall guy standing. But I guess he has some real deal speakers at the desk. Like Barefoot 😂
Yea this is way off to the side in a room absolutely full of cool gear. He's got tons of videos on his YouTube channel.
That is absolutely insane and entirely aspirational.
Pretty sure that room is about the size of my entire apartment. (And it's really not a small apartment. Thoroughly medium-sized.)

It's a sight to behold, though! I wouldn't have the time to really enjoy even 1/10 of that gear, but it's a lot of fun to watch his videos.

Heh.

No...it's a storage tub that I had no other place to put. Sadly, this entire thing is in the corner of a room also filled with CDs, movies and boxes I have yet to unpack after moving. So I improvised by using storage tubs.

Good luck unpacking. I still find stickers from the movers and it's been years.

Where'd you get the Simmons Drum and how do you like it?

Music-Go-Round back in the mid-90s. They had the electronic drum pads for it also, but not being a drummer, I asked if I could buy the drum "brain" by itself, and I could, so I did, for $50. Knew nothing about it at the time, and I only liked the sheer amount of knobs. Used to run my Multimoog through it and the sounds I got always resembled an angry swarm of bees.

I wish it had been the SDS 8, because the one I have only has 4 toms. I only recently began using it again...one reason I purchased the BSP was due to the drum trigger outs that I could use to trigger the Simmons SDS. I have a Turing Machine with expanders being built, and one of the first things I will do with it is to use the Pulses outputs to trigger the SDS.

It definitely has a very distinctive sound, but can be very tweakable, so you can pull a tom up to almost a snare and almost down to a kick drum. Dry, it sounds decent and very synthesized, and I honestly have mostly only used it dry (it was packed away for many, many years), but now that my actual "studio" is set up, I am looking forward to routing it through effects to tweak it even further.

My first rack. Took a while to assemble - and still got 20HP to spare. Any suggestions?

Yup absolutely need some effects. might start with the small FX aid. any other hot fx modules you guys can recommend?

Also I feel like I am sometimes missing an offset utility. And maybe something idiosyncratic like a morphagene

it's big, but it could work well with the radio music: Morphagene. It all depends on what kind of music you make.
