Bit of a rejig after picking up a few bits and making some.
Re: Post pics of your euro setup!
Four years on my Euro Rack path. Initially I called it my eurocrack because of the addictive nature but I renamed the thing EuroCrackl after getting the Bastl Timber. My setup is largely built on synced triggers as modulation triggers, I’m not a huge fan of too much free running stuff as I find it confusing to listen to in the long run. Syncopated modulation is much more interesting in my mind, but I don’t want it restrained to 4/4. Other highlights are the dual contours, and the dual Pico sequencers that do a lot of improv and fun. I have a few stereo units that gets a lot of use as I love messing with depth and space, notably Xaoc Katowice And the new to me Qpas. Neb and Rample on rompler duty, ZPO as the main analog sound source, and the 4ms Ensoc for chord like stabs and melodies.
I record everything to a SSD drive so I never need a computer to destroy the fun.
Typically I do small noodelings with space to add real drums in the box, and I add pads and soft synth lines in Logic Pro later. I don’t really do whole composition but it is rather a set of fools to get a evolving patch on which to expand upon later. Sometimes all that is needed is a solid kick drum and a chord structure underneath.

This is beautiful! Mungo and Nonlinearcircuits are my favorite manufacturers as well. Love those clear knobs. Do you have any music with this setup online?
Re: Post pics of your euro setup!
Thanks for the compliment, and to others who responded earlier!
I finished a release not long ago mostly consisting of some samples from radio music and g0, very slowly modulated (e.g. with sloth DK, presently unracked) through pt2399 textures (dispersion delay, dnm3). So just a select few connections. A cassette label is putting that out next January but you could PM me if you'd like to hear it sooner.
That's it though - I haven't much time or energy at the moment to bring all these functions together usefully and creatively. Mostly I just concentrate on one or two modules in an evening. I'm still learning about many of them I suppose, especially the Mungoes.

I'm not buying a maths though, not my idea of fun...

Just mounted the last module. It's done.
Ambient for hazy, lazy, summer days. When the ominous keeps a bit of a distance.

Nice one, lisa!
I see you use Varigate 8+ with Pamela's New Workout. I'm having quite a bit of trouble syncing V8+ to PNW using reset out from PNW into V8+. Do you have similar problems, or (please!) have you found a solution?

Pamela's has a reset out? Is that in the top row of jacks? I never use those (not joking).
I'm resetting V8+ using one of the eight normal outputs of PNW and it works fine, I think.
Not at all. But I have two more cases, one of which isn't filled yet.

Re: Post pics of your euro setup!
Ah, OK. I use the voltage-high-on-stop from one of PNW's channels to trigger the reset in V8+, but then when I restart PNW the V8+ is lagging by a 16th, and when I try to use shuffle it really messes things up. I also tried a periodic reset with a 1% duty cycle from PNW's output (any more, and the high out from PNW holds the step in V8+), but then I also get the 16th note lag. So quite frustrating, and I'm looking beyond V8+ to Erica Synth's Balck Sequencer. It's a shame, because V8+ is otherwise a really powerful sequencer, and I like its workflow.
BTW I never used to use the top row in Pam's either, until I realised recently that I can use it to dial in the amount of shuffle using a variable voltage (e.g. Blinds of Maths channel 3). Beats the menu diving! Unfortunately, V8+ doesn't play nice with this.

That’s where I’m at so far! Just discovered eurorack around NYE of this year. Needless to say, I’m obsessed.
I started with the Nifty Bundle and the Dreadbox Nostalgia delay. In hindsight, Nostalgia probably wasn’t the beat choice for such a small setup. Definitely my least used module.
Also have a Drum Brute and an external mixer. I’ve got 4 hp left in my case and will probably fill it with a VCA in the next few weeks. Using MiRack on my iPad to run a sequencer into Hysteria. I really like using the Turing Machine.
Pam’s is brand new to me as of this past Friday so I’m just starting to crack the surface of that. Never have I ever found a new hobby that’s gripped me so hard and fast.
I also have a PO-33 pocket operator but am having lots of difficulty getting any sound out of it into my mixer. I dunno if I have a faulty stereo-mono adapter, or what, because I can’t get it to work properly.

this thread is for pictures of racks, not MG links. There's another thread for that.

My newly printed "control skiff" I shall call it the Battleskiff (you know because it's grey and looks all beat up) lol. The stickers are hiding where my prints warped and there are gaps :( I might move the Vector to the case above it and put some more of my other hands on modules in here, but I have to play around with it first
Power is from a 4MS Row Power 45, and I have designed and printed mount to put a cooling fan under it, in one of the 4hp slots the designer of the case put in. I can't remember their username, but have seen them here, so if your seeing this thank you!!

Got these cases to the point where I feel like they're complete instruments, as well as a whole system that can work well together. Somehow the last module I got was a sequential switch. Not sure how I got on so long without one. The Bluebox really ties everything together nicely. Also the WiiChuck is fantastically fun, although since I got the Tracker I've pretty much just been making silly beats on the couch and not using my eurorack.

worker8 - I love the evening light coming through the windows in those pictures, I find that to be a very inspiring time to make music.
