Mhm, interesting. I've never noticed a 16th not lag. I can do som experiments this weekend to see if I can replicate the issue.pieter wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 5:27 pmAh, OK. I use the voltage-high-on-stop from one of PNW's channels to trigger the reset in V8+, but then when I restart PNW the V8+ is lagging by a 16th, and when I try to use shuffle it really messes things up. I also tried a periodic reset with a 1% duty cycle from PNW's output (any more, and the high out from PNW holds the step in V8+), but then I also get the 16th note lag.

Ambient for hazy, lazy, summer days. When the ominous keeps a bit of a distance.

i have a hard time finding inspiration before the the sun starts setting. its like my creativity isn't unlocked until i know i can be done with the day and am relaxed enough to find a meditative state - when work and running around for the day is done.Placid Mouse wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 9:52 pmworker8 - I love the evening light coming through the windows in those pictures, I find that to be a very inspiring time to make music.

Eventually I'm going to upgrade the Metro to Metropolix but otherwise I'm so happy with my system. I can see myself adding a second case at some point in the future but I really want to explore as much as I can within this system. There's so many deep modules and ways that I can patch within this case and I'm going to add a couple pedals to run on the Hexpander sends.

Re: Post pics of your euro setup!
Definitely. Most sun I see while working on music is the morning sun when staying up too late. I do find it hard tho, at actual sunset or around dinner time. Something about that time of day doesn’t work for me. When I go thru old files, it’s hilarious to see most files are created between 2am and 7am. I never plan on it, tho, I’m always trying to finish by midnight.dooj88 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 3:32 pmi have a hard time finding inspiration before the the sun starts setting. its like my creativity isn't unlocked until i know i can be done with the day and am relaxed enough to find a meditative state - when work and running around for the day is done.Placid Mouse wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 9:52 pmworker8 - I love the evening light coming through the windows in those pictures, I find that to be a very inspiring time to make music.
Re: Post pics of your euro setup!
Well, to be honest, I don’t like to make music in my studio when the sun goes down. The window is facing west and that’s too much light. My computer screen becomes unusable. I already tried different arrangements, but I couldn’t find one. The room is just too small. I wish my studio room was bigger (like everybody indeed), with windows turned towards north, and no direct sunlight on the gear.
And in general, I have more inspiration in the morning. Plus, electronic music is a lot of work. And I think I have more energy in the morning.

Thanks brother. It's morphed over 8 years but I'm finally getting something out of it like I imagined.

Re: Post pics of your euro setup!
I bought my first module just as New York City went on lockdown, almost exactly a year ago. Modular had been a dream for me for years, so once I had a taste, I went all in. This is my current "home studio" setup in my tiny Brooklyn apartment. There's no room for monitors or big keyboards, but I'm mostly into Serge-style patch programming and Max/MSP algorithmic stuff, so this is enough for me to make some music at the moment.

Had to throw out that kind of cactus (actually a kind of euphorbia, thus be
careful since it is phytotoxic) literally out of the window (into the garden)
when it collapsed after becoming way to huge.
Licenced to solder since 1993
