Threw in some loops that are the same tempo and same length.

Then programmed Modcan Touch Sequencer and used Doepfer A-185-2 to jam the stations.

Settings are in one shot mode.

Does anyone have a problem that the sample just stops playing (while resetting via CV) and no sound is going out until you move the start knob? It happens to me every few minutes, sometimes sooner, sometimes later =/

nectarios
very nice sequencing there with modcan and precision adder

I just had a idea. Has anyone tried loading control voltages (lfo, envelopes ,etc) on the sd card for the radio music?

This reason is because i saw that the new tip top one module can play control voltages off the sd card used for it.

I guess i should just try it out

Yep, happens to me sometimes... even had ro reflash once. That's why I keep it accessible in my rack. Still, Radiomusic feeding A-112 and Phonogene = tons of weirdness & fun!

RM is not DC coupled, so nope...
(Disting should be able to do this, though have not tried it.)

^Wow do you understand what this means? Pitch cv plus file select cv, plus files organized in banks, WAV, in 4hp and inexpensive. This is very serious!!!! Many thanks to the creator.
New firmware also fixed my sd hotswap problem.

The new firmware is amazing! I was mainly using the radio music for percussions, and now it works even better. However, I think that if the samples are too loud, the module clips a bit. Will need to investigate this further over the weekend. If it's the case, it's much easier to batch process WAV files to reduce their amplitude than the old process to convert to raw files. So rejoicing all around! Might get a second unit soon...

:oldmanureuro: If it's clipping, don't forget about the 50K Ohm trimmer pot on the back of the module for adjusting the output volume.
From the install docs: "The trimmer on the back sets the output volume - adjust to your needs to avoid distortion"

Oops I quoted the wrong video. You know the one I mean.

There is something kind of weird about this video. I imagine Tom Whitwell as a Dr Who English genius character. Then we get an American accent in a video that sounds like a promo for Gillette or an automobile company. Not that it's a bad video. Just unexpected.

Radio Music Distortion Mod

Post by Mr_Mojo_Risin » Mon Jul 17, 2017 1:15 am

FYI -
I somehow missed this update when building my Radio Music modules.
Apparently, there is a problem with distortion if the module is powered on for long periods of time.
Simply adding a 100k resistor across two points will fix the issue.
The thread is here: https://github.com/TomWhitwell/RadioMusic/issues/70
