Must admit that the local shops make us a great service specially for young players, :hail:
I started going to Hot Cable (Madrid-Spain) to try the modules in their showroom a couple of times and ended up entangled forever.

Canada’s west coast, Vanacouver, has
https://nightlife-electronics.com/

Now selling, repairs, even some vintage.
Quite a good stock of modules for a Canadian shop and excellent service so far!

Nightlife is a great shop! I've been in person, and ordered from the US. Wonderful experiences both times.

Just wanted to say I recently dealt with Shawn at Analogue Haven and found their service above and beyond. I’ll definitely be using them more in the future. Highly recommend!

Just want to add some nice feedback for Signal Sounds. I ordered something Sunday evening and had it at my door (in Texas) before noon that Wednesday. Crazy to consider that they can process the order and facilitate international shipping with a shorter turnaround time than some domestic retailers!
That's mad! Highly recommend Signal Sounds too, did a similar thing within the UK. Ordered Sunday, was with me Tuesday morning. All round very efficient and great stock.

Has anyone from EU ordered from Signal Sounds in 2021?
Just curious if there are any additional costs applied after Brexit, like VAT or custom duty. It seems there should be in case of products made outside of UK or EU but I'm not sure about that.

Recently found out that this store is an authorized dealer for Make Noise and Doepfer in Brazil:

https://www.atproaudio.com.br/

Located in Rio de Janeiro - nice service - just pre-ordered by Strega from them (with the usual outrageous taxes, but, eh, this is Brazil).

Yeah Shawn is the real deal. Great guy.

And even though I'm in the States I want to give a thumbs up to Analogue Zone in Budapest. Great communication and a solidly run business.

Nicht sicher ob House of Sound in Basel sowas tut.

Are there any stores in the swiss german region with Eurorack second hand modules?
Not sure House of Sound in Basel does that.

Also had ultra fast shipping from Erica in Latvia and signal sounds in Scotland. Like a couple days to Ohio, insanity! And I still can't find a vaccine yet...someone in gov. Needs to take cues from these people on how to do distribution.

Considering the amazing electronic music coming out of South America right now, this is not much of a surprise to see.

I know Detroit Modular is highly regarded around here---especially as it concerns sale codes and their point system---but what's everyone's experience with their free US shipping? I finally(!) placed my first order with them early on Tuesday, label was created yesterday afternoon, but didn't go out. I imagine it will go out today and I'm not worried at all (well except for the fact it's USPS, haha), just surprised it took them over a day to make the label since most shops do next or even same-day shipping. Again no big deal, I'm just curious what to expect!

That sound about par for the course on US shippers that give you free shipping.

It seems like the USPS picks up from them in early afternoon, around 2 MI time. My experience has been that they are slower to ship out than Ctrl because sometimes it doesn’t get picked up until the day after the label was created but I don’t think it has ever taken more than a day for it to go out.

Once the USPS gets it all bets are off these days.

It varies for me; my first two orders from Perfect Circuit took 3 days from order to delivery (CA to NY), last week it took 5 business days via FedEx. Generally speaking, shipping is all over the place right now so I don't have too many expectations.

If the DM order actually goes out today then it's only a day difference from what I was hoping, so honestly it's no big deal...but yeah, USPS...who knows when it will show up. I can't remember the last time their "2-3 day" Priority actually arrived in less than 5 or 6 days. :/

Shipping can indeed be a maddening affair these days. I waited almost 2 weeks for a package I PAID $23 2 DAY SHIPPING FOR from FedEx. No fault of the shipper it seems. I did get the money back, and hope the business didn’t eat have to eat it. But I’ll say, FedEx is usually ok in my book. Hopefully that won’t happen again. Nothing worse than having to wait around all day for a package trying to avoid shady neighbors scoping your porch only to watch truck after truck drive past...and no package.

Sadly I had a poor experience with Prymaxe recently. Ordered a module from them using their 20% off sale that’s been going on for a while. After 3 weeks I reached out to ask about it and got the run around. So I wrote the manufacturer directly and within minutes was told they had already sent an order to them recently and no item had even been ordered from them yet.

Shady. Took it up with Amex. 🤞
