Nice. Electric harpsichord. Love it. :guinness:

I just received mine this week and currently have a Planar making it squeal with a ton of modulation.

Trying to figure out where things stand with the firmware.
Can someone explain just how "the firmware update addresses this problem"? (If it does.)

Does this mean that it now retains tuning or that it now powers on tuned to A=440 or...?

TIA

Apparently, the firmware update addresses this problem. I emailed Erica about it and they wrote this back "You can update a firmware using Pico Drum programmer and this app: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... fgnldbpolf"

Don't know what firmware version I have, but I bought it new only recently. It remembers whatever the tuning was before it was switched off.

Some have updated the firmware. Others seem puzzled how to do it.

Anyone know if this new section of the website has been introduced?
I can't find it.

One simple question about the update process for those who've done it:
Does it require PC/windows or does it work with a mac ?

Thanks

Works with mac. You will (probably) need a driver but the updater itself is a chrome app. Currently it takes some investigation of their website to discover all the instructions. They really need to either be centralised somewhere (and linked to from each module to which they apply) or just repeated for every module that can be updated

Would be fantastic to have 2D morphing like the E350. Might be tricky to implement though - you'll essentially be interpolating between four waveforms instead of two, which means streaming twice the data and holding it all in RAM.

Any luck with this? I've been pissing around for an hour trying to hook the programmer up in different ways. And cannot for the life of me get the get my Black Wave Table OSC to be detected by the app (I've tried a Windows & MAC machine with the same results). Any chance you were able to figure this out?

Getting a bit frustrated with this TBH. Cheers.

Had the chance to hear this live at the in store Control Voltage demo a few months back in pdx. I have to say the whole "black" series looks, sounds, and feels amazing! Kudos to Erica Synths for really delivering on a quality line of modules!

It looks like my module has stopped tracking 1v/o now. So I'd really like to update the firmware to see if I can get this working again. Argh, frustrated as I live this module!

The upgrader app see that the programmer is connected via USB, but not detecting the module what-so-ever and I've tried the only 2 ways the programmer fits onto the back of the module. Wonder if this some how had something to do with the 1v/o not responding?

Hoping for some help - cheers.

I just got mine the other day. Sounds amazing. How do I know if it has the latest firmware? I would assume if I just received it that it does, but is htere any way to be sure. I dont have the programmer yet.
