Looks great, exactly what I was hoping for, something not too bulky.

Looking forward to receiving one here in Europe. :miley:

^ ABS no doubt, probably you'll want to scuff and primer it before painting.

you probably already thought of this but as you'll be most likely taking the electrical components (not the modules) out before you proceed id do some test of texture feel and the like on the inside before getting to involved in a full part job

as you asking what the material is, you've probably painted a bit before but some times paints are sticky especially those of the spray variety

let us know how it turns out !! id be interested as ive though of this too.

That drawing looks fantastic. Can't wait to see photos of connected cases.

Or the good old Nintendo NES and SNES Times :hihi:

At first i wanted to buy the bracket and a second Mantis. But i can't stand the plastic look of the Mantis anymore

I will swap it out for 2 Intellijel 7U 104HP Performance Cases.

Got my Mantis brackets and installed them, about a 15 minute job. If you've put together anything by Ikea, you can do this easily. Hardest part was flipping the connected cases over with one bracket attached while not allowing them to spread, but I did it myself. Racking modules at the ends of the cases keeps the rails pretty well aligned - finished setup is super study & sano, looks good. Very inexpensive and cool way to get a 12u case with power - only downside it obviously it's no longer portable (although you could revert to two units in about 15 minutes) and the decksaver cover won't fit it. Also wish there was a way to use one power supply instead of 2, but again not a deal breaker. Really love this setup.

Very clean!

Need one. When is it out?

How stable it? When you put a cable out of the top rack for instance?

looks like you might be able to buy a second set of brackets and attach a 3rd mantis, maybe also weighting the bottom one so its more stable...

Can you stand the bottom case with the other attached,or would it be to unstable?

It doesn’t need to be made any more stable, it is rock solid. does not wobble at all. I don’t think the design intent is to connect three units, but you would have to ask Tiptop

By adjusting the side legs on the bottom case will give a 45 and 90 degree forward tilt.
