Ah, thanks for posting that -- I didn't know they had it up on their site yet (hadn't looked in a little while...)

Looking at the site now -- I thought they were plastic for some reason. Good to know they are metal (makes more sense anyway...)

I think this bracket idea is genius and probably going to get me to buy another Mantis

Me thinks it would be even better if the bracket would provide some space between the two Mantisses (Manti?). If there was a gap of let's say 20 -30 millimeters, patch cables from the upper case would not get in the way of the lower case's upper row.

There's already a gap between upper case's lower row and lower case's upper row since the Mantis has a lip.

Anyone know the acceptable dc in range for the mantis? I have both a mantis and a few 4ms pods. I was able to find the pod dc range on the 4ms website of 15v to 20v but no luck on the mantis other than the original power brick is 13v.
I have the Krisdonia battery pack that 4ms is using in this clip. It has a dc out that has 12v,16v options so was hoping the 16v setting would work.

Just hoping to get some dc range clarification on the Mantis.

Battery power

Thanks so much everyone.

Just got my Mantis brackets in from Sweetwater yesterday and installed them this morning. It's pretty easy; the 15 minute estimate is pretty much right on the nose. Doing what they say and leaving 4 modules in each rack (1 at each end of a row) to help keep the rails properly spaced helps a lot too. I 100% wouldn't try this with all your modules still in the racks. It feels quite solid once it's put together, you can mess with the top row of stuff with confidence it's not going to tip over or anything.

The angle formed with the two racks feels very nice and workable, and the "lip" at the bottom of the upper rack does mean that patch cords coming out of the very top of the lower rack don't really get in the way of the upper rack. If you've got some very stiff cables, you might need to work around them a bit in scenarios where you've racked something with ports at the tippy-top in the lower rack and very bottom right above them in the upper rack. But it hasn't been an issue for me, and seems no worse than the usual "cables going up and down and across and every which way" eurorack experience.

Love this case so much, the brackets were one of the main reasons I bought one, besides nice power and being very sleek. I figured I'd fill up 208HP pretty fast and that additional 208HP is the bee's knees... The size of the Mantis is perfect, I can't imagine anything made of plastic being much wider. Behringer is the funniest company there is to me, everything they do, I would do the exact opposite. I find their larger clone of the Mantis ugly and unflattering.

One question, should I get a bunch of blank panels, or is the Decksaver suitable when patch cords are in place? Right now I have about 52+HP filled up, nothing in the bottom row. Doesn't look like the Decksaver will sit well when there are patch cords in place.

Cheers

Ordered, received and installed!

It's very solid! Very smart design. I'm very happy about it.

The longest part was to unmount my modules but it was the occasion to re-think my system, so at the end, it's a good thing :)

Highly recommended ! :sb:

The best guess I've heard so far is that the Behringer case was designed for sharing a stand with a performance keyboard, which would actually be pretty different from how you'd use a Mantis especially with the brackets.

Typical of Behringer, they increased the size but didn't increase the capacity of the power supply they cloned from Tiptop, so it's actually less capable hp-for-hp than the Mantis. I like my Neutron, but I'm getting very bored of the low-effort cloning from B...

Bracket is a good news for me. No more fiddling with my Mantis cases with wooden boards now.
