The current state of blackness:

Beautiful, beautiful work. I love the attention to detail, especially the bananuts. I am working on something similar, except my bananut scheme will be a bit more subdued, as I think it starts to look really busy when powered on. But that is just me. It's clear that you put a lot of love into this baby. Well done!

Thanks! Well they do power on like christmas trees. 😂

A thing about bananutting: When it is unpatched, they have a big part in the visual appearance, but once everything is patched, (and my thing is semi-permanent patching, currently about 150 cables) you only really see them here and there. They become more of a subtle spice. But colour coding will always be a helpful tool, in paticular for e.g. MakeNoise modules, that often have a sort of anarchistic layout.
But anyway, I basicly do anything I can (within reason) to make my system feel “as one”, and bananuts and Davies knobs is the very first thing that a module must go through, in order to be admitted into my Dark Brotherhood of Modules. The final ritual is, that their name and origin will be covered with black tape, and then they become my nameless, proud soldiers, that will loyally work together for the greater good. Even if one module gets to sing out its ego, it will be in the spirit of a comrade, taking one for cause.

Hmm, this makes think, I could get a job writing speaches for Kim Jong Un. 🇰🇵🇲🇪🇲🇦🇰🇬🇮🇲🇭🇰🇨🇳😂

But actually, I am so happy about getting rid of all those logos. Having dozens of different fonts in front of my eyes, does not do me any good, and I often find use for that space to put down small labels that remind me of e.g. hidden functions, or other stuff that I tend to forget, if I don’t use a function for a week. So making my own labels saves me a truckload of looking in user manuals.

Here is a tip for black labels: Buy white paper stickies in whatever size you like. Make them black by running a fat black permanent marker over them. Then write on them with a white fine line Posca. (I tried several, and Posca came out the winner.) Cut sticker if needed and apply with tweezers.

Some excellent setups posted here!
Here’s where I’m at now. Still a few silver holdouts but I’m getting closer.

I'm getting real close - swapped out the plates for BIA, Mimetic Digitalis and Maths.

I still need to source out some replacement knobs for Maths but I absolutely love the way it looks in black. Props to Grayscale for the awesome design!

Next up is finding a black panel for Mixup. Anyone know of a source that might make one?
Did you ever find a black panel for the Mixup? I need one myself.

If you have a module where you really don´t need any help from labeling, I would suggest you just buy a sheet of black self-adhesive plastic/vinyl and slap it on, and cut holes with a scalpel. I have done that with great succes with my Bitbox.

The top row is reserved for some custom diy modules. (mixer, clock source, other ideas?)
