Worse. They "fixed" it and sent it back. Dead again within 5 minutes of use. Returning it for a Rample. I've lost confidence in 1010 Music.exper wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 1:57 pmstujay18. Please post if you see flickering on the replacement. My screen was shot as well, but the replacement they sent is still flickering. So I’m not sure if it’s a matter of time before it dies or ??. I think I’ll still return it if there’s no improvement.

Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper
Hello everyone, is it possible to play samples poliphonically via cv or do I need to sequence it over midi?
Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper
You can trigger them of course, if that's what you meant.DoverBeach wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 3:26 pmHello everyone, is it possible to play samples poliphonically via cv or do I need to sequence it over midi?

I mean sequencing samples poliphonically to play chords with a sequencer. ..
I read that bitbox has 4 note polyphony but I can't figure out how can I play let's say a C maj from a cell that contains a piano sample. I was able to play chords with the touchscreen piano on the bitbox so I assume it's possible, but when I send pitch infos on the trigger input it just trigger the sample.
English is not my native language, hope it's more clear now.
Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper
Yeah if you use midi, you can play them chromatically. Otherwise, you could probably rig somethingDoverBeach wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 10:08 pmThank you for your answer.pekbro wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 4:50 pmYou can trigger them of course, if that's what you meant.DoverBeach wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 3:26 pmHello everyone, is it possible to play samples poliphonically via cv or do I need to sequence it over midi?

to modulate the pitch with the cv inputs. But midi is the method they have allotted for that.
Check to see if you need their proprietary midi adapter as well, since the BB wont work with everything
out of the box.

Having a hard time finding a straight answer to this... will bitbox mk2 audio input accept line level in addition to euro level for recording?
Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper
Yes, I did this from my Android phone directly to the Bitbox Micro and it worked very well. I think mobiles output line level?kriskeyman wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 9:44 pmHaving a hard time finding a straight answer to this... will bitbox mk2 audio input accept line level in addition to euro level for recording?
Just as an aside, not sure if anyone else has had issues with recording deep, bass heavy sounds - I was recording a kick with a lot of low end and ended up with a horrible, noisy, distorted recording. And no, definitely wasn't clipping when recording!

Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper
I agree. Great way to get wavetables into a modular system, especially with the individual output per voice.
Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper
Yes, but you may have to turn the gain all the way up on the sample. I use an input amplifier (error instruments megaphone for example) to maximize the sound. I have also noticed that some instruments provide more ‘drive’ than others in terms of the BB signal recording.kriskeyman wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 9:44 pmHaving a hard time finding a straight answer to this... will bitbox mk2 audio input accept line level in addition to euro level for recording?

Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper
Will they solve the screen problem with the second batch? I'm really interested in the micro, but all the dead screen posts here and on the 1010 forum are pulling me back.
Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper
If it adds a data point I can say my recently purchased Micro has no issues with the screen. I did accidentally change the brightness the other night and almost panicked though.Bob Charlotte wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 9:16 amWill they solve the screen problem with the second batch? People without problems probably don't post about it. Bought mine about two month ago and it works fine.Bob Charlotte wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 9:16 amWill they solve the screen problem with the second batch? Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper
I’m hearing a high pitched noise from the bitbox mk2 module when brightness is lowered. Using latest firmware, have tested in multiple cases. Also, I don’t notice a change in brightness until about 10%. So...
0-10% lowers brightness, no high pitched noise
11-99% no change in brightness + high pitched noise (most audible around 50%)
100% no issues
Anyone else having this issue?

Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper
I don't have a high pitched noise, but yeah there is almost no sensitivity to the brightness on the mk2 until you get to 10%. Very silly
Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper
I just checked and mk1 has all the brightness adjustment between 8.5% (totally black) -> 10% (full brightness).

Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper
That's for sure. But read about people having some problems even with a repaired unit it's something to worry about. Glad to read some wigglers don't have this failure, btw.Underwood wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 1:11 pmPeople without problems probably don't post about it.
