MDLRCASE new 12U/104HP portable eurorack case shipping now

Post by AJFourier » Thu Nov 03, 2016 12:44 pm

Hello everybody,

Welcome to the new MDLRCASE portable Eurorack case; the 12U 104HP Performer Series. Available for order in my webshop now

https://www.mdlrcase.com/product/12104h ... er-series/

I've been listening to modular artists and believe this new MDLRCASE offers the best solution for those in need of a flexible portable case. Using a detachable middle “ring” allows you to patch your rig and leave it patched before heading to your next gig, it also functions as a rock solid stand giving you the perfect angle to access your modules during your performances. By using this design where the modules are not sitting deep in the case, you have full and easy access to all your beloved modules.

Starting with reliability in mind we build our cases with Penn Elcom components for maximum durability and apply a two-component coating solution that adds an extra layer of protection to your serious investment. We want to make sure your gear is working great in the studio or at a live event.

MDLRCASE offers our customers two power options; the more “juicy” Doepfer PSU-3 for the power hungry or the Meanwell RT65B for the budget aware who may not have huge power requirements. The 4 busboards in this case offer the ability to connect 78 modules so you’re always sure to have all your popular creative tools on hand.

Place your order today for the new 12U 104HP Performer and get out there to show the world what these wires and knobs are all about.

We ship worldwide, if your country is not visible in the shipping options please send an email to arjan@mdlrcase.com and we will provide you with a personal shipping quote.

I really like that side latch idea. Looks like it just barely fits as carry on as well.

Wow. No deep walls. No sliding nuts. M3 tapped rails. Love it!

Post by AJFourier » Sat Nov 05, 2016 2:40 am

I've got some questions about the space for the patch cables when the case is closed. So find attached some extra images.

Is it possible to use two of those cases side-by-side and very close to each other? It looks like the power inlet would get in the way. Unless it is possible to have one case with the inlet on the left side and one with the inlet on the right side?

Do you ship to the US?

Hi Artaos,

I can build it the way you suggest so this would be no problem at all.
Shipping to the US is also no problem as i do ship all my cases worldwide.

Please send me an email to arjan@mdlrcase.com to discuss all posibilities.

I'm glad to help.

14U version

Post by AJFourier » Sat Nov 12, 2016 4:25 am

Seems there is a lot of demand for a 14U version as well. Yesterday i did some prototyping and testing and it works out very nice.

So if you like to have a 14U version of this case, it's ready for order now.

Could you tell us a bit more about how the stand works? Do you have more close-up pictures? Based on these pictures so far it looks like the top lid is just resting on the stand. Is it secured?
I have to be honest it looks like it might not be very solid, and I feel like when patching and unpatching the top lid, it might move around? In your description, you say it's rock solid though, how does this work? Thanks!

Well hot damn this looks nice! :yay: I would need to do a bit of planning and a reorg were I to get one. Wondering about stock, will these be around for a while?

How well do the two halves stack? Meaning, can I vertically stack one on top of the other without much worry?

If I get this it also means I'd probably get one of your 114hp 6u bases too. Would US shipping for two cases have any economic advantage?
