Anyone in Melbourne area available to test some new modules?

Post by Beast-Tek » Thu Nov 03, 2016 6:27 pm

Anyone in the Melbourne area wanna help with some final usability/beta testing on some hand built glitch/noise based VCO modules?

This is my first "production run", I don't own any other eurorack gear to test with - would be nice to know they fit into a "proper" rack and work with other modules before I unleash them on the world :omg:

I will compensate you for your time with a module or two :woah:

Oh yeah totally forgot specs:

CV's are 0-5v with clipping diodes to allow connection to allow -10v .. +10v at CV inputs

Audio out is 10vpp (-5v .. +5v)

-12/+12v rails used only (no +5v supply required).

All my modules have power diodes to protect against reverse connection.

Slapped together a rig tonight so I can take vid + record sound.

After recording around 50 mins of demos I realised I forgot to plug the line out cable back into my phone and it was just recording through mic .. wtf.

Quickly recorded two shitty demos so the night wasn't a waste .. now I've discovered it takes about 1hr to upload a 4 min vid to youtube on a 100mbit link ... wtf :goo:

The glitch/noise VCO's start off as a v/oct granular osc but are fed through a glitch engine that can totally destroy the pitch tracking, when this happens the engine tries to compensate but at this point it's not strictly v/oct

The lo-fi VCO's are v/oct - 16 wave forms then the tune knob selects a combination of sub/up or sub+up and 8 wave shapers. "Tune" was a dumb name :( should have called it color or something similar.
