I'd really like to see the resonator decay ring for longer.
And maybe an option in the noise envelope to have it latch with the trig in to stay on until the next trigger.
And overdrive/saturation option pre and post resonator.

Plonk!!!

I can't wait to get my Plonk. I dare you to watch Andrew Huang's video on it without falling in love. That's what sold me.

Intellijel writes about it on the previous page + asks for user suggestions.

I loved that video too. Been a longtime fan of AH, mind you, from before he started vlogging.

Distortion and a ringmod would be nice. On the NordDrum Distortion is something i use a lot, especially for Kicks, but also for snares, it makes a world of difference. Ringmod could be interesting too, unfortunately something which is very lacking on the ND, but can sometimes be useful..

Is there an external way to rename patches, is that something i can do when uploading to Lazer Mammoth? I'm doing my own bank of 120+ sounds, they have the previous names since i rather spend time on the sounds then on spending 2 mins typing a new name..

Yes Laser Mammoth is brilliant for this kind of thing.

Made my first drum kit today (kick, snare, hat) it sounds pretty atrocious.

It would be awesome if more people could upload their custom kits to Lazer Mammoth so people like me could plagiarize

In seriousness it would be interesting to hear what others have come up with though. Will just stick to the presets for my kit needs for now though. Hiphop kit's pretty nice.

The factory presets are great starting points for completely new sounds. There's also the random-function which is a really fun and quick way to get you going..

I might upload my bank when i'm done (however it's not aimed for realism), i was disappointed to see that there were like only 1 person who had uploaded something.

Ya I was disappointed to see that as well.

Thanks for the tips, starting with the presets is a great idea. For some reason I've only started with init patches whenever creating anything..

I haven’t updated with the latest beta firmware. I’m curious to hear from anyone that has. Is it worth upgrading at this point?

So if I set mod to go from preset 17 to 20, it really shouldn't ever hit preset 21, wouldn't ya think?

Have you tried the 1.10 firmware beta on our forum? That should have fixed it.

Yes!

I really wanted to have pitch as a MOD destination and this beta delivers it. So yay all round. Makes a huge difference for me.

Latest Plonk Firmware is v1.11

Post by Synnic » Thu Jun 21, 2018 11:08 pm

The latest Plonk firmware is v1.11. It's out of beta and released normally now. I just upgraded to it yesterday. So far it's working well.

I just got a plonk, which came with firmware 1.0. I see that 1.11 has only one thing in changelog: no re-calibration after firmware.

Would this mean that I can go from 1.0 -> 1.11 and won't have to recalibrate?

1.11 includes the changes from 1.10, but you don't need to recalibrate your pitch input like you would have to with 1.10. It's fine to upgrade directly from 1.0
