Going further on the impossibility of multitasking, and sorry if this has been mentioned already but could the disting EX behave as 2 totally independent Disting MK4 ? and in that case I could do the above with the A-1 on one side and G-5 on the other...
This is literally in the first sentence of how the module was presented, both in text and in the short 1 min video of it. if you're interested in the module at least spend that 1 minute.

Is there an algo that can be used for delaying triggers? I could not manage to do it with the regular audio delay.

Also another idea: maybe a trigger burst generator algo could be useful?

If you allow me, I do it the other way around : before being interested in a module I need someone to tell me something interesting about it that I could be attracted to, so many modules around....
Thanks for the information though.

you've already shown interest, no? Why not spend the 3 seconds it takes to google it and read the first sentence of what it says for the module.. It's not a lot of time invested for something you're interested in.

I get it that its a forum and if everyone just googled there wouldnt be much of a discussion for anything, but for some questions i do think google or even the manual is worth mentioning, otherwise it can get pretty tedious...

I truly LOVE my disting Mk4 but was scouring it last night for a frequency shifter, and was suprised to find there isn't one. It does have that ace pitch envelope tracker, but wondered if there was any room left for a freq shift algorithm?

Could be v useful as there aren't many modules that do that. The free plug in I use is valhalla's freqency echo, but it would be nice to have cv control.
I made a similar request - most likely on the works but there was some talk on how some potential algos may be too intensive to properly implement.

For the meantime, can't go wrong with Warps - comes with one built in once you install Parasites.
would love to see a frequency shifter in the disting if its resources permit!

SD card reader came, upgraded bootloader, then firmware to 4.17

It was a piece of cake. Thanks for the easy to understand and follow manual :yay:

Is it possible to ask for a basic CV step sequencer for Disting?

No idea if they still have any, but my brother pre-ordered from Control about a week ago, got his mk4 yesterday.

Control had then in stock for a minute last week before selling out again -- they must have had a few left over after fulfilling preorders. I don't think they have any more left by now. It looks like they're getting monthly shipments from Expert Sleepers and sending them out on a rolling schedule; I got my preordered Disting EX from them last week and they just changed the ETA for all Expert Sleepers modules from this month to next month.

Would it be possible to achieve a VCO Supersaw algorithm in which Z controls the detuning of the saws between them?

For those still looking, I just got an email from Perfect Circuit that they are in stock. If you're Perfect Circuit averse, it still might be worth emailing your preferred retailer as it suggests some were just released into the wild.

There's D-3 Waveform Animator.

But you need an external VCO. I was referring to the Disting working like VCO Supersaw

Indeed. I was just pointing it out, so at least you know you can do it if you have a simple saw VCO already.

I'd love a simple audio looper in Disting. Something that works pretty much like a loop pedal. There's a surprising lack of them in Eurorack, aside from the as-yet-unreleased 2hp Loop. There's more complex modules which do other stuff as well (Morphagene, various delays etc) but it would be nice to save something a lot smaller, cheaper and more straightforward.

The mk4 doesn't have enough RAM to provide a decent looper. There's one in the EX:

something similar to the Chainsaw module would be nice but without polyphony

Also put to ask if possible a version of the Resonator that is activated by gate instead of by trigger. Currently if it is used in configurations where there is no trigger and we use gate it activates with Gate On and again with Gate Off and is a bit annoying.
