Can someone tell me if it is possible to edit one pattern while another pattern is playing?

Yes. If you chain pattern 1 and 2, for instance, you can edit pattern 3 or whichever other pattern you want without it playing. But I think you have to at least chain two other patterns than the one you want to edit to be able to do this.

Hmm. That seems odd. Why would there need to be two patterns chained to edit one that isn't playing?

I just ordered one of these. Hopefully show up tomorrow if the Fed Ex gods are kind.

Outputs expander would be very nice.

I felt that nobody picked up what you've thrown, so I did it and re-threw it just because.
+1 to this, double the IO via CV expander would be sick :goo:

I don't know why it's designed like that. You might be able to edit one with just one pattern playing, but I haven't been able to figure that out. Ask Winter Modular on Facebook, they're usually quite quick to reply. :)

I was going to forego the midi-expander because I have the Intellijel 1u midi... but it appears the expander helps with pattern navigation which is pretty much the biggest pain point for me with the Eloquencer (and its not a big pain point).

Besides midi and pattern navigation, what do you all use the expander for?

I just picked the Expander up and I think its DOA. :/

I followed the instructions closely. I just bought the eloquencer last week and it came with firmware 1.3.0 on it. I plugged the white cable in on the backside, it has the newer connectors on it that make plugging this cable in dummy proof. I even swapped out the power connector with another one that I'm positive works. When I boot to the main eloquencer window it doesn't say `Exp 2 : EME` - it shows `Exp 2 : -`

Does this sound DOA to you guys or is there anything else I can try?

Nevermind, I just needed to update the firmware to 1.3.8.

Just realize now the developer have released a Midi expander and versions of firmware update.

Hi guys and ladies.
I added a new Eloquencer video which carries on with covering a few new features (since my last main two Eloquencer videos...)

Will cover more new features and the EME MIDI EXPANDER ASAP

Great as always, thanks !
I actually never used the LFOs, just the step and CV-features, but know, because of your video, I will give it a try.... :yay:

this might seem like an extravagant request, but I feel like it would be much more functional to have more than 1 scale group (even two would be awesome) per pattern. Am I alone in this? :sstorm:

Had 2 quick questions:

1:Is there a way to have Pamela's New Workout interface better for clock input on Eloquencer?
If I send clock from Pam to Eloquencer a multiply of 4 is needed on Pam to get matching BPM readings from Eloquencer. I am constantly resetting Pam's workout so its just another annoying option to set every time I rebuild patches.

If you try to multiply the input clock in Eloquencer software, the timing becomes extremely unstable missing gate triggers.

Was wondering if anyone knows of a more elegant fix for the Eloquencer.

2: Is there a way to turn quantization off for a track's CV output?
I am running into quantize issues with going from Eloquencer to instruo harmonaig

Thanks!

Hi!

Can the Eloquener receive program changes?

I know it can send them, but does it really take up a full track?

How are people integrating this into their MIDI setups?

Thanks :)

I just want to put another vote out there for the 2nd expander to give more cv outs per channel — that would be amazing!

I often use it as a monophonic MIDI to CV converter by plugging a MIDI keyboard into the MIDI input. I'll also use the MIDI I/O to sync from and record to my DAW. Handy for layering VST instruments under the modular or simply recording what I sequenced so I can mess with it in the DAW more easily.

I would like very much that in the next firmware I can remove or activate the quantization on each channel. also that when the CV is not linked to the gate, it is not affected by the MUTE of the channel. . because when I use some channels only to gate to percussion modules without voltage control like BB808 TipTOP, and the cv out of these same channels to control the braids for all its modulation inputs, when I leave the Braids channel alone, all the CV controls that come from the other channels ( not cv linked ) are cuted , when I only want to MUTE the rhythms that these make to other percussion-only modules. .
Also could copy and paste a chain of patterns would be great . love eloquencer 4 ever .

Hi guys,

anyone else having issues with EME not being properly recognized by Elo?

On boot i get the "Exp 2 : EME" detection message, however none of the buttons work (not even the LEDs flash when i press them).
I have to powercycle my rack several times for EME to work properly.
Firmware of said module is up to date of course (v1_3_8).
This is already my second EME module, the first one was replaced by Wintermodular since it always hung at "Exp 2 :" boot screen.
Already wrote to Eloi, however he says the issue might be due to
"power issues, noise in the power supply, or bad electrical grounding in the electrical installation".
I use several Doepfer LC cases with the newer PSU and have about 100 Modules running in them no problem so far. The only one always acting up is EME and/or ELO. I always make sure the power specs are met via Modulargrid or vendor data.

Cheers,
beku

Absolutely. Or even simpler: It would be great if we could select if a track was being modified by a scale or not. If not it would just be chromatic.

Can you adjust swing on each individual tracks? (not global).

Hi,
I like to use 1 channel , (Gate and CV) for my M303.
In addition i like to use another channel only CV, to control my slope /slew generator.
What is the best way to patch it ? Do i need a extra mixer with the use of only 2 channels ?

thanks :)

Are the CV outputs always quantized? I see lots of scale options, would hope you're not limited to quantized pitch.
Can I have un-quantized CV output?
Sorry....There are too many pages to look into....
