Chord Machine 2
for quantisation there are 54 preset scales and 16 user scales available.
scale up could be different than scale down!!!
(exp. the real Melodic minor scale scale up /down are two different scales)

and you can quantize 4 voice chords
(42 Preset chords with 3 inversions , 16 user chords)
with the List programing you can select up to 24 chords with fitting scales

Doesn't the Flame Arpeggiator 2013 have the same functionality more or less? :hmm:

It's not an improvement. One is aimed at arpeggiation while the other is aimed at chords. If you think about it the subject is the same (a group of notes related to each other based on harmonic terms), but one is more focused on playing them in-series, while the other is aimed at playing them at the same time.

IIRC both offer arpeggation and chord options, so I guess there's a lot of common ground between the two. Would be nice to learn more about them and/or a comparison, but to answer your previous question, I really do think both fall around the same category and could be used for similar things.

ok.

the 2013 arpeggiator seems to be more expensive and has an odd 15hp. Both are probably great but I think I would go for the chord, although not that cheap either. uscale is a cheaper option but seems to be a bit complicated to operate

Anyone know if there is a way to reset the chord sequence back to step1 on the chord2? Couldn't find anything in the manual. Interesting module otherwise.

FWIW uscale is super easy to navigate and is a quantizer, so a very very different module to what Flame offers.

I asked for this function in the planning phase of the CM2
but he wants an easy CM, similar to the CM1.
If you want something like the CM with Midi,
have a look at the Flame Arpeggiator 2013.
Hi, bringing this back to life-

Is the chord generator section of the Arpegeator 2013 as good andcomplete as the one at the Chord Machine 2?

Yeah, wish the CM2 offered MIDI out.

One question: Is the Chord Machine 2 a reduced version of the ARP2013? (what about the quantizer function?) if i want generate chords from a single cv sequence, or cv keyboard,,, and send the 4 cv notes to 4 analogue oscillators,,,,, do i need Chord MAchine 2 or am i going to be covered with the ARP2013?

Never a demo for MemoSlider. No wonder almost nobody buys Flame... and I'm a fan...

Interested in the Dualkey. Does anyone know if it's possible to use Shape and Time controls to get an envelope with a short attack and long decay/release?
