I love your videos! You guys rock and this module rocks big time. I'm still excited about it after playing with it during SB17. This video settles it, this is my next jazz drummer ... a little swing at the clock input and this baby will kill it.

Kit ordered. Out of space in the case, but I don't care... gonna make it happen.

Same! Shakmat makes some of the most interesting modules IMO, don't know why they don't get more attention.

The most wacky rhythms you can coax out of it, using it as your drum sequencer. That would be my preference, but I'm not picky. No sir! Anything you'd like to share, I'd be happy to watch.

I got one of these recently. My planned use is actually just ready at hand clock control and im super happy with it. I wanted it to be something quick for me to use live without having to focus on it and its perfect. Thats valuable to me in that simplicity alone

Im sure if you abuse the reset input and use the self-reset with the logic you could get a variety of rhythms. Ill have to try it out

Video delivered...
Not the most wacky rhythms possible... but found a knob combo that was interesting for those voices and then messed with all the of possible switch combinations. Patch notes in the video description.

I only had a few hours to mess with it... and found it worked really well in combination with switches, rotating clocks (source of this video), and such. Mostly just a ROCK SOLID clock utility for multiplication and division.

Hope to learn the module proper and then make something good that really takes advantage of the Logic and Reset features. Lots of interrelationships to workout first....

Sweeeet video :yay:

...be nice to hear all that over a nice steady backbeat too, to see how that works out

Steady beat for contrast would be cool. Especially if TW was pushing other things... I think the next adventure would be to use the TW to control sequencers, envelopes, etc.

I think Time Wizard NEEDS other modules to really shine. If you just send it a steady clock... you'll get steady clock outputs. The AND/OR logic on A2 can give some patterns, but it's largely dependent on the content and jumper setting for B5... and that's only one output. The rest will just be multiplications or divisions... and that's not going to groove very well.

Add a simple switch or even VCA to gate the triggers.... and you've got something. In the video, I have jumper on and get 50% Gates on B5 and B6. Using that to gate A2 and to gate the VCA for my sequencer pattern.

Exactly. I do similar stuff with random gates and logic modules, in order to get rhythms to drop in and out. Sequential switches can be quite fun too.

Mine arrived today! I wasn't expecting it to ship this week, let alone arrive today :woah: I'll make a video soon. I owe it to soundslikejoe :hihi:

i was already pretty sure i wanted one of these, but the video definitely pushed me over the edge. i'll probably build one. now to figure out which clock module i can give up to make room for this!

Me too - what are you triggering?!

BTW: this is an awesome module. I love mine. Built it a few months ago, and it has never left my rack. Super intuitive and handy. No fiddling, and the logic additions are genius.

I often forget it has TWO clock inputs too. I should make more use of that!

Super happy to hear that! I absolutely love my ADDAC206 but what you need to get is the ADDAC214 which I think will be an amazing addition to the Time Wizard since the latter has no CV control. You can plug four of the TW's outputs into the 214 and go berzerk.

I'm waiting for mine to arrive to check the combo!

I had an RCD for a while but the rotation never really made me go WOWZA! I tend to like switches though... and have a 2hp 3:1 which works well for swapping Time Wizard clocks into a single source.

Relative to stuff you should buy... I just order the Instruo Harmonaig for use between the Stillson Hammer and the ADDAC206. It's going to be NUTS.

The Time Wizard outputs work so nicely when swapped around! That's why I think the 214 will be a nice addition because it can grab four and rotate them to four destinations.

Harmonaig + SHmk2 + 206 sounds like a killer combo! :hyper:
