Would like an update on this as well. I'm loving using the internal VCA's as independent voices on this thing. Thanks!

Yeah I’m interested in this but the VCA issue needs picking up.

I have noticed it clearly: Just feed an envelope (MI Stages here) to any gain input, oscillator leaks in the respective out.
It's the same if you apply negative voltage (whereas the bleeding in the mix of an Echophon can be "cured" this way).

So it's a real issue..

But as it is software related, maybe this bug is not so hard to correct?

Hi,

Apologies, I have not been paying as close attention to Muff Wiggler recently, so I missed a number of recent messages. We recently released a firmware update that should resolve the VCA leakiness issue:

https://discourse.humble.audio/t/latest ... -update/37

This update package currently works for Windows and Mac OS prior to Catalina.

Apple changed some of the security mechanisms in Catalina, so we have to find a new way to package updates for it. If you're able to use utility dfu-util (installable via brew, if you use that tool), it's possible to install the update. The problem is that we can no longer execute the copy of dfu-util that we ship inside the package.

More information on dfu-util: http://dfu-util.sourceforge.net/

those instructions are impossible to get to. do you think you could just post them where we dont have to unlock them

:tu: Thanks bigwill!

I've done the update with my Mac (OS10.10). I had to disconnect/reconnect the module after the SYSBOOT and RESET pushes (the Quad was not recognized thru USB without it).
The .command wrote something scary at the end (update only needs few seconds):
"File downloaded successfully
Transitioning to dfuMANIFEST state
Error during download get_status
logout"

But in fact it worked fine: no more VCA bleed!
I checked the tuning: I don't need to recalibrate after this update.

And the sound is still amazing: I've got TX802/ TG77/ FS1R/ FM8/ Hertz Donut mk3/ Shapeshifter/ A-110-4 + Rubicon2 (TZFM...) / Plaits and...

Can you effectively control the pitch of each operator with the ratio cv inputs? Asking whether this can double as a quad oscillator bank. Apologies if this has already been asked.

Little noodle here with the Quad Operator... it's set up sort of like an old school FM electric piano here, then put through Rings (and etc.). Just Friends supplies the drone, and Marbles does all the steering, along with a ton of envelopes supplies by O_C and Quadrax.
