Interesting. I’m still keeping an eye on this. I had thought I might preorder as soon as it goes up but I’ll probably wait and prioritize some other stuff on my wish list haha. It does sound good and on paper looks very promising. Not sure if it’s the TZPM or the wavefolder that I’m hearing and liking the sound of. But whatever it is, I like it in the very limited examples I’ve heard.

This module seems very good. Is the black panel definitive ? Maybe I like the grey one too.

So is there an ETA for this thing? I haven't decided on a primary oscillator for my build yet but this looks to be the one purely from the demos to be honest. I'll probably hold out for it if it's within the next couple months but if it's going to be more than that, maybe not :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana:

Estimated for "fall". I'll let you decide whether that is September or December.

Hey all!

Sorry for the slow reply - been away from Muff's with nose to the grindstone lately :zombie:

And very sorry for the delay!!! I normally try to conservatively estimate release dates but I failed miserably on this one. It was, well, more complex than expected. ;)

I didn't do NAMM this year since a lot of us euro people are doing Synthplex instead this time 'round!

I had to go back and rework some areas of the design and it took much longer than expected. Learned a lot in the process and feel as though it's become much better as a result. Can't wait to show the final results!

Mindphaser is coming mid-2019! It will be on display at Synthplex in Burbank, end of March, and shipping near Superbooth time in May! Come get your fingers on it at either of those if you'll be there!

More news soon, and a whole lot more juicy details coming.

I would love to make it the exact size to fit into your case hole, but playability was paramount in the panel layout!

It was quite a bit of deliberation with Hannes, squishing this many options into 30HP :deadbanana:

If you do a feature by feature count, and compare to other analog complex signal generators, it's quite dense per HP I think.

I hope that you can fold some space-time and make that rack hole bigger :hihi: :nana:

I would have loved to show it at Superbooth (2018), but it look(s/ed) hideous (the first "smash it all together on the biggest PCB possible just to get it making sounds prototype", that is)! I think it's like 48HP, just for ease of layout and getting it into finessing/artist first looks/playarounds for feedback stage, ASAP.

Just to clear any misunderstandings up, that track in the video was 100% made with Mindphaser :) It was just very buggy and horrendously ugly at the time, so the track was made quite laboriously having to re-trim some things for different oscillator ranges in order to make the sounds needed to compose the whole track! There were a lot of circuit bugs which have now been squashed in the past year or so, and the module is going into _actual_ show ready format now. Synthplex/Superbooth19 here we go!

No audio fakery here :goo: other than yes, we made some pretty 3D animations of feature close-ups (it was a very fun exercise working with Hannes on those!) and a nice video to reveal the spec's at Superbooth time, but at that time the hardware was a bloated, ugly mess not ready for people to wiggle with in person yet! Still, a fun track had to be made to demonstrate its capabilities!

There will be actual hardware photos and video, and lots more artist tracks coming up in the near future as soon as they're ready! Really excited to get this lil fella out into the world for all to see in person.

That is a bit weird. I wonder why? Why release a video, then go to super booth and not bring it? Makes me think that because the video was all 3d renderings that the module is actually no where near completion. So then I wonder, what are we actually hearing in the video?
