Awesome work, Matt! Thanks for setting this up.

As a bug report: items that are listed for pre-order at Switched On show up as available.

Does eBay even have a seperate category for this kind of stuff?
I have a saved search for "eurorack -behringer", and I still get those fucking Behringer mixers. (Not cranky about Behringer per se, but I've had one of their cheap mixers go to total shit after only light use years ago.)

thanks for your efforts matt, your site has helped me score a few key modules that are otherwise hard to find. a couple of suggestions:

- Add separate filters for In-Stock and Preorder. Any store with "pre-order" cwejman listings is usually full of BS since there typically are no pre-orders, it'd be nice to filter those out.
- On a related note, Pyramid Sound always has cwejman modules listed as in stock when they are actually pre-orders.

ah! good to know. i combined in stock and pre-order yesterday as a default. no harm in refining. thanks for the kind words, and feedback.

If pre-order should be combined with anything it's "out of stock", no? By definition, shops where you can pre-order a module do not have said module in stock.

Still a great service, by the way. Very useful. :goo:
New modular track with a ton of FM cross modulation and drum synthesis. 🔥

Thanks to this thread, just discovered Wiggle Hunt today. All I can say is wow...amazing! Thank you for creating this.

Regarding firefly's suggestion to add eBay...I agree--would be great. A comment and suggestion...

First, @mmagin is right...it's a little tricky to create a super-accurate search rule to find eurorack. But I think if you were to include "(module, modular)" and constrain to the "Synthesizers" category you'd get pretty close. One complication is that some retailers (eg, Detroit Modular, Perfect City) list their inventory on eBay so you'd have to figure out how to de-duplicate those listings (assuming you want to).

Second, you might want to look into the eBay affiliates program. Thinking they might have some tools to help you integrate their inventory, and you could get paid for some traffic to help offset your costs. For that matter, looks like Reverb has a program too.

BTW, +1 on the feature request to be able to click on column headers to change sort order.

Stellar work though...thanks!

I can imagine it is rather 'delicate' in some ways!

Not sure if I have said this already here or not, but thank you for doing this, it is really useful!

I see this for Prymaxe as well. It looks like their page is running something after the page is fully loaded to find out if the product is in stock. The button text flashes "Add to Cart" for a second, then swaps to "Preorder". Not cool maaaan.

new feature day: search by functionality

wiggle hunt searches can now be refined to functionality (e.g., LFO, function generator, filter, ...)

classifications should be pretty solid, but may not be perfect - they are best-guess classifications after all. shout out if you find any obviously mislabeled gear.

enjoy, and thanks as ever for using the site!

hey all, been a minute.

i've made some updates by popular demand:

- users may now search by all of the EU: select "All EU" option in the "Regions" filter
- where possible, pre-orders are separated from products actually in stock. not every store site makes the differentiation. it'll get better, but this is a nice start. be patient.
- for anyone wanting to buy directly from a store, you can now filter out community sites like modgrid and reverb. nothing against 'em, still love 'em.

next up: adding new shops like luigi's and nightlife electronics.

have a shop you want to see? feature request? drop me a line!

thanks for using wiggle hunt :hail:

Escape From Noise-stuff is always listed as in stock, even when that’s not the case. Just FYI.

Still a great service, btw. I use it all the time.

Cool site, never saw it before today.

One thing that struck me as I was browsing it just a moment ago is that it would be awesome if you could select a preferred currency and have it show all prices in said currency, whether dollars or euros or yen or whatever.

Wish You Were Gear is a new synth/modular shop in Miami. They are located inside the Technique record store. It’s a great shop that allows you to try the gear out.

Small bug report: I've noticed recently that Reverb listings are showing up as "Ships from: US" no matter what country the seller is in.

Not always quite that simple behind the scenes. For example, I can put items as “in stock”, “out of stock” or “available on backorder”

The only problem is, once I put something as “available on backorder” there is no way to limit how many orders (essentially “preorders”) I can take....so I could go to bed and wake up with 20 preorders for something I can only get five of.

So my way round it is to always label the actual product title with the word “[preorder)” after it, and sometimes I use the “available on backorder” function (if the product is easy to get in large quantities) ....but a lot of times I want to limit the product to a specific number of available units that can be preordered...and the only way to do that is to put it “in stock” with a specific number of units available. This kind of looks a bit confusing, but it’s hard to miss the big PREORDER in the title, and the clearly worded ETA directly above the “add to cart” button on the product page. I also TAG the product as a preorder, so it appears under the relevant section of my site (accessible from the top menu).

It’s a pain though, and I wish there was some way to simply limit the number of units that are “available on backorder” ....but apparently not.

A window into my tortured world :zombie:
