It seems that a new firmware version is coming in the next few weeks based on a frequently requested feature.

I have yet to upgrade my module since I got it (v 1.1). Can I upgrade straight to the new firmware version? Or do I have to upgrade sequentially?

You can upgrade straight to the new one. Do you have a Pickit already?

CV over FM sounds more like physical update to me - how about switching Z to morph through the whole bank? Or is it auto save for current state?

anyone else here with very wobbly xyz and fm attenuator knobs but with pretty sturdy big coarse and small black shaft knobs on the phmk3 (big fm knob version)?
actually they are that shaky that i am afraid i break them…

I hope it's just press select on the oscillator you want to select.

to be more clear: iam wondering why some knobs are really sturdy and some are loose and wobbly as hell on the phmk3…
and if others experience the same.

I am not experiencing them to be lose as hell but I suppose the more sturdy ones are the standard pots while the more not so sturdy are smaller trimpots with a knob on them. They feel a bit different and are not screwd to the panel.

Mine feels solid throughout.

Can you switch between wavetables on the module? Can the card store multiple wavetables that you can swap between on the module?

You can switch/morph between eight 8x8 wavetables on the module but it's not possible to store and load another set simultaniously on the same SD card an swap between them or swap single banks - you can only load all eight of them at once from one card that can only store those eight banks.

i just noticed that also the last slot of x and y axis seems to contain a copy from the first slot of that axis.
so wavetable 1 and 8 are the same. (also 8 and 16, 16 and 24, 24 and 32)
same is true for z. so wavetablebank 1 and 8 are identical as well. is this a special setting?
This only occurs when morph is enabled and you are using the sliders. It goes back to the first wave at the top then but the wave is not actually doubled in the wave bank. There are eight waves and then the first one again on the top. When you disable morph you can verify eight different waves and when you use CV every single wave form occurs exactly one time at the right spot without a double slot for the first one.

I guess it is a feature for playing the sliders and having some kind of home base at each end of the slider as it is not possible to wrap around with the slider as using CV would do when the eighth wave form is exceeded.
Thank you for clarifying! I wasn’t sure what the situation described exactly was.

I have both of those modules as well. Can get very nasty sounding stuff out of them. :guinness:

I love using a tempo sync'd lfo in to the FM input of the Belgrad, can get dirty sounding percussion noise sounds. Piston Honda wavetable set to some sort of noise.

One feature I'd like to see is a variation of the trig preset CV setting. Say for instance you're on preset x. The first trig would make it move to the next preset. Then the second trig would make it move back to preset 1.

I know at the moment it has the option that triggers will make the preset number move sequentially but I think it would be more useful to have it in a defined range and the possibility of a trigger reversing the preset number.

new firmware 1.7 is up, along with kermit mk3 update. now we can cv modulate fm amount. :hyper:

Sorry for the silly question. So essentially, instead of say running say OSC B into a VCA (modulated by cv) and then into the FM input of OSC A, you can now use one OSC to modulate the amount of FM of the other OSC without the use of an external VCA?

Awesome. Can't wait to upgrade the firmware module. Still haven't upgraded the firmware since I got the module (firmware version 1.1). :hyper:
