https://pitchfork.com/news/caroline-pol ... ouncement/

She says that Gender is not a genre! Like you said on the end of your podcast Stromcat, " lets not make it weird... but we are making it weird by talking about it".....(paraphrasing) It's like a weird paradox at this point
I totally get the issue she has with that - it's not an easy thing to answer, in the case of my podcast, if I don't actively seek out appropriate artists who are female or non-binary, I won't have any kind of balance, because as I sit here I have a laundry list of blokes who are up for this, but I do not have any women/NB on the list (I am working on this!!).

I personally don't have an issue with some celebratory programmes that emphasise women/NB artists either, as I think it's going to take some consciously emphasised programmes to make people like me get to know who is out there, doing this stuff every day. Lord knows, there are emphasised programmes in the opposite gender all the fucking time:

...And ironic I know to diss the name of this place and then share it on here - the reason being that for the large part this is of course a bloody wonderful place...but Zoe and Nina did rather make me see the name in a new light. It really isn't ideal.

Campaign to rename it 'modwiggler'?

I just found this podcast last week and have been catching up. I love hearing all these perspectives and ideas, especially as a newbie to the community.

I put on the fourth episode with Nina and Zoë this morning, not knowing what to expect. I was really pleased to hear your opening comments about supporting women in the community, and then to hear from both of them about how they got into it.

Keep 'em comin'! :D

modwiggler +1.

I love what your doing with these podcasts and I'm really glad to hear your commitment to non-binary folks and women, don't forget about non-white people too! Keep up the great, diverse work. The more voices the better and stronger this crazy modular world will be.

❤️

Loving these series! Each one has been very insightful. I listen to them on my commute to/from work.

Would love to see an interview with Ströme!

Also appreciated the dual Clouds as VU meters and the Data in the middle as a clever way of dealing with an audio-only interview :)

Great interview with Olivier! Loved his explanation for the toys. Now I'm really interested in listening to the rest of the interviews. Thanks for doing these!

Loving these, thanks! I think you've got a great balance between it being conversational and structured that makes it a great listen.

Thanks!

One of the things I like most about this podcast is the business philosophies and startup stories. I feel like the other podcasts like How I Built This are interesting....except I am not interested in the companies or products of the companies that are talked about. Where as in Why We Bleep I am SO interested in the products and companies. So its like having your cake and then, for once, actually being able to stuff your face with it like they always tell me I CANT do.

tldr: excellent podcast.
