The cats are reminding me of the intro to Aerosmith's "Back in the Saddle".

This is a really stupid product but I don’t care. Some people love it, that’s fine. Some hate it and the fact that it exists, that’s fine too.

I’ve listened to the sound examples posted in this thread by users and they are surprisingly good on average. That is the real shark jump, imo.
909, manic trilling courtesy of Make Noise René and DPO, wavetable bass by Disting and some soft melodies by the Korg Minilogue. I mainly sat and watched it all unfold.

I'm really more of a dog person; perhaps such a module is on the horizon.
Avant Garde a clue

It hasn't been said yet so I will. That product already exists for dog AND cat sounds. It's called the Disting MK4...

The only thing Disting doesn't have the 2hp Cat does is the cool logo...

That said, the 'Hiss" and "Purr" settings get real interesting with some wild triggering and v/oct modulation. Not all that cat-like, but cool and likely usable as an interesting sound source on their own...

Pairing the kitten meow up with a generative patch based around Rings had my wife and I rolling on the floor: It was like beautiful wind chimes and the cat HATES THEM!!!

Mrowwwwwwwww....

They should make an expansion module called FIGHT so when you have 2x CATs you can modulate a cat skirmish.

Or better yet a 2HP FART with the poop emoticon on it.

It's kind of a silly thing to be upset about either way. I like a little levity in this often too serious world of music gear.

how about the 2hp ca$h? it makes sounds of money being dropped on euro modules. I'm sure most of us are use to that anyway.

Or one called, "Bengal," that chews all of your cables in half...

And, in honesty, the "Purr..." mode when the frequency is cranked up is pretty much 2hp Fart already....

It's like bonus silly at no extra cost!!!

Settle down kids, if you don't want to join in on the fun of this module then there's plenty of other threads :despair:

2hp Bat? Ghost? Hellhound?

I'm still waiting for Bowel.

Bat, an ultrasonic signal generator. :hihi:

Boo would be fun, spooky theremin-esque ghostly noises.

That stereotypical werewolf howl maybe.

And the new Halloween 2hp special is - a passive mult with a pumpkin logo.

Was hoping for something exciting - another run of Cat (I have one but wouldn’t mind another) or some other sound module.
