Sounds very awesome. ALM should stand for "Always Lovely Modules".

LOL, Frankenfurter...

Sounds cool: A lot going on in a little bit of real estate...

If only I wasn't overloaded on oscillators.... (I'min a self-imposed moratorium on sound sources...)

It’s amazing! I’ve had it since last week. Ask me anything I’ll probably be pulling an all nighter tonight.

Those 2 modules side by side offer some amazing bang for your buck and size. And both in different ways which is awesome. I think MCO is an instant classic.

hmmm... don't exaggerate please, the sub is just a simple digital square wave. It sounds nice to have a simple sub with the main output of course, but nothing magical happens.
Bear in mind that in my video the sub and the main output are mixed and filtered with the ACL VCF and that is a big part of the sound.

Here is a screenshot from my oscilloscope:

I’ve been looking at the MCO For quite some time now. Seems to be good value for anyone who likes wavetable synthesis. How bad/cool is the aliasing in the upper octaves?
My first modular track where I used drum modules! There's also a ton of FM cross modulation from the Instruō Cš-L in there and the Metasonix R56 is a big part of the sound. :star:

We also just did a live performance. Just eurorack, a mixer and two nitwits. :hyper: http://tiny.cc/8ndspz

I'm curious how the MCO responds to audio rate modulation? I imagine it's gritty but is it gritty in a nice way?

Has anyone had any luck with the calibration process with this module? I've never been able to get akemie's castle, sid guts deluxe or the mco to track anywhere near as accurate as my DFAM and STO. I'm thinking I might just use the MCO hard synced to the DFAM's oscillator for now. Just curious about everyone else's experience.

EDIT

Nvm, I figured it out! Just have to calibrate the MCO in the midrange instead of the lower bass levels. Now It sounds great next to the other oscillators in my system.

This has been bugging me lately: what the name stands for? "Morphing Crunchy Oscillator"?

Yeah. I’m quite sure that the M stands for Morphing, as the wavetable is described as morphing serveras times in the first trade show videos. And Crunchy is a good guess. :)

ALM's own MCO webpage has the words Morphing, Compact and Oscillator on it. :miley:

Crunchy works for me too.

Bingo! I opened the page multiple times, haven't thought of compact.
