I built a couple a few months back. Sent one to a friend as B-day present for his perfomance case. He loves it.

They're based on the Lm13700 OTA design in some of the NLC stuff iirc. Builds weren't noisy at all and that was using vanilla components, non COG caps etc... so it should be good. The layout is a bit cramped but is a lot better if you use noodle type cables. The mix out is a nice touch if you want to use it as a standalone mixer.

Graphics were good, panel was fine quality aluminum.

Since I built it from boards I went with drilling out the trimmer holes a tiny bit to accommodate t-18 metal shaft alphas and those mini knobs befaco uses, would definitely recommend that if you diy it to do this but make sure the pots are relatively low torque or it won't feel great to use.

Here's a pic of mine in a skiff I like to take outdoors:

Thanks so much... Are these all kits? I wasn't sure based on the Etsy posting...

Happy to help.

I think he used to sell pcb/panel bundles for around $20-30 but the ones listed at $129 are fully built by the designer. Not sure I've ever seen a better value to size and function ratio in euro, surprised these aren't talked about more often.

Very chill dude and very responsive about some missing stuff when I emailed him as well.

They seem great value and glad to hear of the great build quality.

And thank you again for being so responsive!

:sb:

Should be thanking you though for bumping this. Haven't checked out the Void shop in a bit. Looks like lots of new modules are up. The VU meter looks especially tempting. Also looks like he is making the hexagram with sturdy metal shaft pots now. Good Stuff!

Thanks, you too! Getting a lot more music making in since quarantine, just only been recording on an old tascam portastudio I fixed up and haven't gotten around to transferring the cassettes. Been working on a Lyra 8/Slightly Nasty album, will post soon.

Best,
W.

I have one of these too and it's solid. Super handy to have the offsets per channel, if 6 VCAs aren't needed in every patch they can serve as attenuators.

I also own one of these, bang for the buck Vca/mixer in my opinion.

This would be neat if it also had mute buttons like the VOID Modular 6 Channel Mixer with mutes.
It might be another 4 hp wider but it would gain quite a bit of functionality
Voltage control plus mute buttons, great for performance
It does look a bit cramped as it is laid out anyway
I'm not sure what's going on, but, well ah crap..what now?

I love mine. I’ve been AMing the hell out of everything I can lately. Awesome value, multi-purpose, really frees up the rest of my modest system. I won’t hesitate to get more VOID in the future. Brutalist looks fun.

Works really well as an fm mixer too! Set it up to experiment with different amounts of modulation between a plague of demons and Wsynth fm ogre. Oh, the clangs!

I only had to add 2hp to add mutes to the Hexagram. Hopefully I'll have the prototypes soon.

Amazing!! I may need one of these, as I’ve bought a new case and it’s empty. Be a good first module to christen it with! !
Gum is fun, but not on a cat.

My minds an art gallery.
