If the range is set to 0 probability has no effect. If set to anything other than 0 then 100% probability will play a different note, within that range, on every gate. The lower the probability the less likely a different note will play. If you want to limit notes to certain semitones you can create a custom user scale for individual tracks but that will, obviously, restrict all notes to that scale.

just in case anyone was curious about the "murdered out" Magpie panel for this. i was unable to get a picture of it from Magpie and it's not on their site. Similar to the white version w/o the colored channels. Also note the typo:"Westlicth", which is why I'm assuming it's not pictured on the site. Personally I don't care. I purchased mainly for the numbers being to the left of the channel outs instead of in-between.

When i like to change for example the gate length or the note probability, i know how to dial in a different value based on the divisor settings i guess. That means i can change it in my case from 100% to 87,5 % to 75 % and so forth. So these are values of 1/8th of the range between 0 and 100 %.
But now i like to dial in lets say 80 % gate length or 70 % note probability. In a decimal way so to speak and i don`t know how to do that. I can further change the divisor settings to a finer scale but then it will "speed" up my track and i loose the feeling of the given speedscale.
So does anybody know, how i can do that ? Haven`t found anything helpful in the manual so far. It would also be very handy for nudging the gate times backwards. And values between 12,5 and 25 % as the next step are not that helpful to get it right to my taste. Thanks ;)

I think that's a current limitation. Get on the github and upvote feature requests for higher resolution of parameters!
for example

Hi,
I have issues to flash it.
Is it normal than the screen display and led not light up when there is no firmware ?

I'm not able to open STM32 software even on mac or PC.
I'm trying to compile it manually but a lot of packages and dependency issues.
Here is the code.

Code: Select all

BUILD lib/stm32/f4
[ 0%] Built target libopencm3
[100%] Built target bootloader
Open On-Chip Debugger 0.10.0
Licensed under GNU GPL v2
For bug reports, read
	http://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.html
Info : auto-selecting first available session transport "jtag". To override use 'transport select <transport>'.
adapter speed: 2000 kHz
adapter_nsrst_delay: 100
jtag_ntrst_delay: 100
none separate
cortex_m reset_config sysresetreq
Error: no device found
Error: unable to open ftdi device with vid 15ba, pid 002b, description 'Olimex OpenOCD JTAG ARM-USB-OCD-H', serial '*' at bus location '*'
** OpenOCD init failed **
shutdown command invoked

make[3]: *** [src/apps/bootloader/CMakeFiles/flash_bootloader] Error 1
make[2]: *** [src/apps/bootloader/CMakeFiles/flash_bootloader.dir/all] Error 2
make[1]: *** [src/apps/bootloader/CMakeFiles/flash_bootloader.dir/rule] Error 2
make: *** [flash_bootloader] Error 2

update :

Compiling with this is ok

Code: Select all

make -j sequencer`

Code: Select all

make -j bootloader
But when i would like to do this :

Code: Select all

make -j flash_bootloader
make -j flash_sequencer
I have this

Code: Select all

[ 0%] Built target libopencm3
Consolidate compiler generated dependencies of target bootloader
[100%] Built target bootloader
Open On-Chip Debugger 0.10.0
Licensed under GNU GPL v2
For bug reports, read
	http://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.html
Info : auto-selecting first available session transport "jtag". To override use 'transport select <transport>'.
adapter speed: 2000 kHz
adapter_nsrst_delay: 100
jtag_ntrst_delay: 100
none separate
cortex_m reset_config sysresetreq
Error: no device found
Error: unable to open ftdi device with vid 15ba, pid 002b, description 'Olimex OpenOCD JTAG ARM-USB-OCD-H', serial '*' at bus location '*'
** OpenOCD init failed **
shutdown command invoked

make[3]: *** [src/apps/bootloader/CMakeFiles/flash_bootloader] Error 1
make[2]: *** [src/apps/bootloader/CMakeFiles/flash_bootloader.dir/all] Error 2
make[1]: *** [src/apps/bootloader/CMakeFiles/flash_bootloader.dir/rule] Error 2
make: *** [flash_bootloader] Error 2
So i'm trying this in the readme.txt

Code: Select all

Flashing to the hardware is done using OpenOCD. By default, this expects an Olimex ARM-USB-OCD-H JTAG to be attached to the USB port. You can easily reconfigure this to use a different JTAG by editing the `OPENOCD_INTERFACE` variable in the `src/platform/stm32/CMakeLists.txt` file. Make sure to change both occurrences. A list of available interfaces can be found in the `tools/openocd/share/openocd/scripts/interface` directory (or `/home/vagrant/tools/openocd/share/openocd/scripts/interface` when running the virtual machine).

But can't find CMakeLists.txt in the folder

------------->

Update 2 : It seems have big issue with STM32CubeProgrammer software. Instead you should use the previous one STM32 ST-LINK Utility v4.6.0 3.
Unfortunately only for WIN
