Problem SLEW Doepfer A-184-1

Hi !

Today I was experimeting with the sample & hold section of the module, the problem is that the slew is active, even thou it is at the minimum position :hmm:

Obviously I would like no slide effect at all if I don't want any, at the zero position, do i have a faulty module, or am I missing something ? :despair:

same here. I learned to live with it using it only when I want slew, but I'd love to know a solution for this.

You can improve the behavior by bridging the resistor r22. It is located above the IC TL084 and is populated with 1k ohm.

the next part I will translate with google (dont have much time and my english is a bit rusty)

To explain: the slew function is by charging a capacitor
realized via a variable resistor. The A-184-1 is one
Combination of a 1k resistor (R22) and the slew potentiometer (1M).
The shortest possible time is determined by the sum of the two resistances
Are defined. Short-circuiting R22 will make the shortest slew time a bit
smaller.


and then the next part is also interesting:

If an even shorter time would be needed, you would need the two
Remove electrolytic capacitors C8 and C9 (each 10uF) and instead
provide capacitor C7 (e.g., 100nF).

great, so whatever i want here needs me being a technician engineer.

how is it not possible to remove completely the slew effect at the zero position :doh:

yes, although I like doepfer very much, the 184-1 is a bit underwhelming. The ringmod isn't my kind of thing and the S&H is very imprecise. but still it is good to have for some things.

I actually bought the dual S&H now because I can't stand the fact that I'm dictated to have a bit of slew on top of my S&H on the 184-1 :ripbanana:

Problem solved. It`s very easy to short circuit the r22 with a standard grade solder iron. Check it out!
