nope - not sure if Instruo have received them yet - they posted when they'd got the Arbhar batch in but haven't seen anything similar re. Lubadh.

My local shop has them listed as "In Store" same as the Arbhar. Last week they were listed as "Pre-order", so I guess some are out there.

I hope it gets here before my holiday is over!
I want to spend a few days with it before I go back to work.

I preordered the day it was allowed. EAGER!
I’m still really excited.
I have waited all year.....I can wait some more.

But not much! :zombie:

:help:
Maybe overwhelmed by demand!
Maybe Christmas? :despair:

Happy new year!

are the speeds have the option to quantize (half, double ...) ?

How would you work to keep things in tune? Let's say by recording a single note, can that be played by a sequencer (1V/Oct.)?

I know, it's not out yet but I couldn't find any info for the speed input.

Lubadh has led indicators for 1X (and 0X) speeds, so there may be some quantization involved to hit those marks easily. Haven't seen anything about note quantization modes, though. I can't think of a good reason why the speed input wouldn't respond at 1V/oct, especially since Jason makes a point of musical applications for his modules. Just speculation, though--we'll find out soon enough.

I asked someone with a demo unit and they said the speed cv input responds linearly, which is disappointing for what I was hoping to do with it (precisely pitched rhythmic transpositions based on harmonic series ratios)

We’ll see when it gets released tho!

I do enjoy changing pitch in W/ (half, double) and in Blooper/Mood (quantized) (Chase bliss audio)
Magneto has even a build-in quantizer.

However, it may be a design choice to keep the module very close to analog tape. Let's see

Jason says here that Lubdah builds are starting this week - some of the parts got stuck in customs:

On the Lubadh website they state "Varispeed –/+ 4x speed".
I don't think volt per octave with a single CV input could control both forward and reverse speeds?

I don’t have the sufficient technical knowledge to tell if this would actually work, but how about:
0v 4x reverse (two octaves up)
1v 2x reverse (one octave up)
2v 1x reverse (unison)
3v 1/2 reverse (one octave down)
4v 1/4 reverse (two octaves down)
5v tape stop
6v 1/4 forward (two octaves down)

Etc etc

It could also work with +/-5v obviously

Again I think what I wish for is a very specific usage and not what most people would use varispeed for.

I guess if the speed CV controls the speed so that each volt is twice/half as fast then that could be used to do “rational” speed=pitch transposition? (So for example 1.5x speed=a perfect fifth up from original pitch)

Fun fact, I clicked it, my computer started downloading it, then I thought "oh fuck, it's a 1-post wiggler and it's an attachment for some reason... I just caught ransomware while surfing Muffs at my workplace, did I?", then it finished loading. So, let me just confirm for everyone else that it is, in fact, legit :tu:

Maybe I need to see/hear more demos in a musical context but the more I think about the looper the more I would prefer to have an option to quantize the speed knob like in magneto or blooper.

Mines arrived. Was at a gig last night though so only had time to fit it in my rack and have a quick play with it. This weekend will be the first time I get to spend some serious time with it. No videos, sorry.
