Yeah I assume it’s for both..? Let me know how you get on please, I’ve not dared touch mine.

Think it also mentions the switches that are on the back pane that turns them on and off?

Played around with the module last night for the first time. One thing I noticed when modulating the playhead speed is that you can hear it “stepping” into place as it passes through each of the points defined by the LED (4x, 2x, original, and half speed). Ideally I want it to be a continuous slew from 4x speed down to stalled if I’m using a simple sawtooth or triangle LFO to modulate the speed. I’m hoping there’s a way to change the current behavior with the audible stepping.

Those quantized buffer zones at harmonically-related intervals make Lubadh super useful and fun for manipulating melodic content. I agree it would be nice to be able to toggle the behavior, though.

In the demos I've seen so far, there's a radio going straight into the lubadh. Am I correct in assuming this module can boost a line level signal to modular level?

Anyone any ideas if we're close to getting a walk through video from Jason about the Lubadh?

I'm hoping divkid does something soon.

For anyone wondering, this module can boost a line level signal to modular levels. Also I can confirm the lubadh CAN fit into the erica synths pico case, but only on the far right side. Expander can be to the left or right of it.

Running into a little problem that i'm sure can be fixed with an update.

When I'm sending modulation signals to the expander, sometimes the Lubadh freezes up and just erases both loops. I'm not putting anything into the erase inputs of the expander. This has happened maybe 5 times in the past two days.

Other than that, everything else is working lovely.

weird. how's your power draw, do you have much headroom?

This is my current set up in an erica synths pico case.

"Glad" to read that, it happens to me once and I haven't been able to reproduce it. The Lubadh freezes and went silent. Intellijel Palette case here.

What signal should I send to CV "erase"?
I thought it must be gate signal but it doesn't work....

And to erase, I can erase by pressing "erase" button but sometimes I have to press twice...

Hey all,
Was messing around with sending some tamed random voltages to length (set at fully anticlockwise), start (12oclock) and record last night  :
How are you all getting on with your Lubz?

I was wondering if the followers here in this thread could share some obvious and also unusual use of the Aux In and Out functionality? Would love to hear all your ideas!

Nothing all that fancy, but I like recording loops of similar melodic material on each channel, setting playback to forward on one channel, and reverse on the other. I use the Aux out to cross-fade between each channel. While I'm cross-faded to one channel, I change the speed of the other channel to a different harmonic multiple (2X, 1X, .5X--->indicator light on). I route the Aux out into a stereo filter, and then into a delay to add stereo animation.

Only tape to tape recording here for the moment... this module is deep.

How am I getting on with my lubz?
To answer that;
I just did this with it. (Pre-update!)
(I got asked about chopping drum loops)
This is the output from deck one
multed to output And fed back into aux in.
Chuck all the modulations at it and......
I like it!

Just to update everyone on the issue I was having with the Aux output, concerning noise and bleed. Jason reached out to me from Instruo with a fix just in case anyone runs into this.
There is a Bias trimmer on the back of the module that defines the cross points of the aux fader. I adjusted this trimmer and all my issues were resolved.
Again, excellent customer support. Jason is very responsive with quick answers to any questions you might have.
Really loving this module. I'm surprised this thread is as dead as it is. I also find that this is a great companion to the Arbar as well. Totally experimental city!
Hi,
I have the same issue. Could you point me to which trimmer and how it needs to be adjusted?

Thanks

I just got a Lubadh and one of the beauties working with tape is recording on different tape speeds. This means if the tape run's on 4x the recoding keeps the org. pitch/speed. Slowing down the tape slows down the recording. The recoding plays now nice and slow and new recoding can be dub with a new original speed.
However, Lubadh seems to record everything not related to the tape speed. This is rather strange as I thought Lubadh is inspired by the technics to work with tape.
Is there an option to change this? (recording pre/post tape speed)
Thanks
