This may be the most fun module I have ever encountered. Strongly considering a second one already. I’m torn between a mystic circuits portal or another grit.

I’ll start getting video examples up tomorrow.

Bravo schlappi!!!

Amazing and totally unique modular in Euroland. Feels almost like a small Landscape Stereo Field with the touchpoints. A lot of playability and character, not only in steroid 100 mode but also in the sweeter register. Still exploring, it will take some time to find the balance in the feedback lines. The touchpoints begs to be played fast and hard, but I found it useful for slow, more sculpturing sounds. Reminds me of playing with Lyra-8, the way it invites to interaction. Congrats to Schlappi! :yay:

I couldn’t resist. My rack is about to be 200 GRIT!

Did another little thing on Instagram with the 100 Grit. I'm running a drum loop into this one and FM'ing it with the Erica Synths Fusion VCO1.

Here are some grits.

Morphagene loop into 100 grit.

Rings kick and plaits snare into the grit.

I’ll try and upload a few dual grit videos as well this weekend. :nana: :nana:

A short review, after using the 100 GRIT for some different patches...

It's
- an excellent VCF (with built in VCA) with a unique sound, and slightly to heavy distortion
- a distortion module with an extremely wide range of noisy spectrum
- a clever live-circuit-bend-like touch access - the eight bronze knobs, which generates subtle to ultra-heavy noise additions
- a self-running oscillator with a lot of different (internal) feedback paths, which you can replace with any external signal

In summary: a module with almost endless possibilities - mainly in the noisier domain of sounds. It works excellent with different audio material and additional effect processors (e.g. modulated delays...).

pure FUN

... I asked myself, how to do an engineering design for such a strange circuit!

100 Grit processing the Tom Cat. Should fill in the power-electronics-with-a-budget-drum-machine shaped hole in the first demo video (with ample use of touch points.)

has anyone got 100 grit + erica plasma drive? i'm torn between the two, i love the sound of the plasma from demos but the 100 grit seems to be more versatile and possibly even more brutal. i'm after the "electric chair" character of the plasma drive.... but now I can't decide.

I'm using the PLASMA PEDAL and the 100 GRIT...
(Erica PLASMA DRIVE has more possibilities than the pedal - but sound is the almost the same)

So, yes, they sound different - PLASMA PEDAL is something crisper in character and more subtle to control. 100 GRIT a "distortion module with an extremely wide range of noisy spectrum" as a wrote before.

Depends (costs, space, ...), both distortion units are unique. I use the PLASMA PEDAL more at the end of the signal path - and the 100 GRIT module more as an extension to some oscillators (or use it as standalone source).

It holds up very well against other distortions. I only scratched the surface, but that's all you need when comparing to others: the difference is obvious.

Quick little Friday night jam.

Pulsar-23 Through the 100GRIT and Fusion Delay. Taking the trigger out from the kick to trigger an envelope that opens the filter and VCA on the 100GRIT.

Ooooh good timing, mine just got here a couple days ago. Loving it so far! Closest I've gotten to doom guitar fuzz in euro.

Agreed! Very recent purchase for me as well. The 100 Grit is the best-sounding "that kind of module" in the rack. Not just a bunch of noise; its sound is deep, rich, with a high degree of "fidelity." The entire product just exudes "quality."

I can only add my voice to those praising the 100 grit. Much more versatile than I anticipated.
Somewhat unorthodox electro on my old trusty Monomachine. :boba:

Just uploaded a small vid, featuring the 100 Grit, with the Erica Synths Bassline as soundsource, 100 Grit is so nice :)

Mine came in. These first days are damn fun. The interactivity, the sound. It really makes alive anything I feed it. It is alive even by itself. Great bargain. Love it

I'm putting together a very small portable system for use when I'm not near my big system. Drums and basic sequencing will come from Rytm Mk2 and I'll either sample the modular or just mix it through the Rytm's external inputs.

I'm thinking about picking up a 100 Grit and pairing it with my Angle Grinder as the core of the portable system, since the 100 Grit provides mixing, VCF and VCA.

For 100 Grit users, do you think it offers enough flexibility to serve as primary mixer/vcf/vca? What are your favorite utility or modulation sources to pair with it? Thanks!

I’m still getting used to mine and I love it but it’s quite unique and I’m not sure that I would choose it as mixer/vcf/vca of choice. I prefer my Jove for the first two options. I like to pair my 100 Grit with an Instruo tanh-3 to tame the wilder side it.

Little jam only with a BIA+MANIS as voices.
100Grit providing 2 of the 4 layers of distortion.
What a beast!
