The more I'm thinking about it, the more I feel like I could really see a spot for this in my rack in stereo form. Any plans to do a Stereodyne or some such, SSF?

I can tell you its incredible. You can really sculpt out the distortion and its incredible.portabello wrote:If anybody would be able to post an example with the gain cranked up to really garly levels I would be super appreciative. I'm looking to replace an overdrive module with the Autodyne but I would like to hear how its distortion sounds before I make any final decisions.
So glad this is in my system.

i for example would be fine with one set of controls for both channels, analogPedagog wrote: Straight up Stereo or dual mono with Stereo link?
but the thing beeing in that sense dual mono.
serapate sidechain per channel ( with a normalisation)
so in dual mono use would the compromise be to share the same settings for both channels.
but keeping *footprint* (and price) as small as possible vs. the now available mono version.
has anybody a tip for a smaller, more private place to surf euro modular or "experimental electronic music making " as such ?
Or is there a place where the "old" wigglers meet again? please PM me
its too big here, can´t handle the timeload any longer

At home I use a Thermionic Culture Vulture for compression, crunch and distortion. I want something small to put in my rack when travelling, as a master effect.
I can’t decide between 2 of these or 1 WMD MSCL. There aren’t enough demos of either.
I want to be able to crush it a bit but still have it sounding good - something the Culture Vulture is excellent at.

does anyone have both one or two of these and one or 2 mscls?
i have an mscl and space for another four 4hp compressors - although most of the time it'll be 4 compressors being abused as channel comressors for techno drums and one output master being more of a limiter if anything,
i do want to have flexibilty to use different compressors/types of compression/limiting in as many ways as 5 x 4hp modules can provide
any advice on what combos and numbers of these works well would be welcome.

please tell me the word 'enough' escaped there - otherwise i'm very confused by this postZerius wrote:I cannot recommend it,
It is a great module for New York style compression especially for drums.

Dual mono would have to be 8hp. At that size you could simply use 2 Autodyne, the controls are simple enough to match.Shor wrote:Dual mono with stereo link possibility would've been amazing.
I have one of these now and would love to be able to run another one...or two more maybe.
I would most likely do a 6hp stereo version, with separate side chain like Funky40 suggested.

I got this today in the post. I have already MSCL on the master but I wanted something capable of bringing distortion and compression to give a bit more body to some percussions and kick particlarly. So far very pleased with it. The high pass filter is really handy to keep the kick's low end but still add some punch. The distortion is nice, need to try on more source material of course.
