I've been terrible keeping up with the DIY stuff. I have iboms for all these I just need to host them somewhere. I'll probably throw them up on github at some point. Once I do that I'll post some DIY stuff in my Etsy shop.

awhile back i bought a pair of hexagram pcbs/panels - built those up and they're just excellent! I really dug how clear the pcb was laid out too—so clear and easy to understand, so thanks for that! You definitely taught me a bit about vca design as a nice little side-effect there! when i get one of those 2hp big muff clones, i think i'm gonna have to pay you to build it

dope stuff man!

I have been using the microwuff in every patch lately, it's a fantastic version of the circuit that is super quiet and perfectly balanced for modular levels. Highly recommended!

Awesome! I'm glad you posted and shared your modules here. I just ordered a microwuff. Looking forward to getting distorted goodness in 2hp!

The 1976 - 77 American Version 3 - Heavily influenced by the awesome breakdown on the ElectroSmash site - https://www.electrosmash.com/big-muff-pi-analysis

I can't promise it sounds dead on like a Big Muff, but that was my inspiration. I adjusted the input buffer to expect modular levels, but will set it to the original on request. I want to make a larger one so everything is tweakable.

Are these going to be available again soon? What's the price?

I just ran out of PCBs and am taking the opportunity to make a few changes to the design. Hopefully I'll have the new ones up in a couple weeks.

I was selling them for $79 in my Etsy shop.

Picked up my Hexagram yesterday. It looks and works great :tu:
Of course cramming this many VCAs in 10hp results in some crampedness but I put it into the leftmost part of my case so the pots are easy to wiggle.

I'd love to see the MicroWuff at 4hp with a little more control. Not more than 6hp, please...

I was working on a 6hp distortion based on the RAT with a couple CV options. I really want to a Tube Screamer as well.

Questions about the Hexagram. Sorry if these are already answered somewhere.

Is the "initial" knob a bias/offset added to the CV input?

With the knob fully CCW, what voltage will fully open the VCA?

What happens when CV exceeds that voltage?

Is "fully open" on the individual outs unity gain? What about on the mix out?

Does the bottom knob only adjust gain on the mix out?

What's the maximum voltage that can pass through without clipping? (I'm looking for something to attenuate a MI Stages, which I think runs 0v to 8v in LFO, D, AD configurations.)

What kind of clipping do you get when input voltage exceeds that limit?

Thank you!

Can't answer all your questions but:

Yes, the initial knob is an offset. If you don't need 6 VCAs all the time you still have attenuator functionality

I haven't had any clipping so far and it's a linear VCA so I suspect the outs are unity gain.
