No, single set of controls for two different mono effects has hardly any sense.
maybe to be able to get the same effect on two differents voices without having to mix/merge them?

it's always nice to be able to ditch a module
There’s only 3 parameter knobs.
Get two fix aids they are only 4hp. Hell, get 3 of them.

I don't care if the parameters are shared between the two inputs. what I do care is to be able to do the most with the less. I don't have 12 hp for 3 modules (but I could understand your enthusiasm). If it's possible to do so it would be great, if not it's not a big deal.

If we are talking about the same effect applied to different voices – that is already possible.
“Delay Dual” – common Feedback control, but left and right channels can have different delay times.
“Delay Stereo” – the same delay time, feedback and tone, but channels are not mixed, so L and R can process different voices.
Some other stereo effects can work as dual mono.

The question was to have different effects for left and right, for example: reverb for left and pitch shifter for right. That is not possible.

Just uploaded reverbs with boosted level, two times in average. Now the wet signal is louder for reverbs.
i had a go, made me a new set of FX, 24 reverbs in total in one set, ...and had some jamms.

What can i say ?
Thank you *very* much Igor for your hard work !!
awesome

2nd part, the long post:

it was not bad bevore, just to make this clear (to anybody who thought we were complaining) !
its really just for that special usecase in case one wants to jam into wilder regions,
going full wet on a Reverb in one moment and diving in one go back to full dry in the other, and again full wet in the next one, etc. (you get the idea)
works now like a charm ! perfect

i had a go on the new greyhole Verbs and some other ones that were new to me:
thats really awesome work !
i´m not so much patching into sound sauce based on Reverbs, just do it every now and then, but the FXaid is deliverying greatly for any fan of this too.
And these Reverbs are finally also super useful when used very tame ! just add a slight -nearly unhearable- bit of an underlieing ambient.

( i had two eventide Spaces at some point, sold the last one end last year, still have a OTO Bam......which is in fact totally unused.
i way prefer the FXaid over the much hyped BAM for my modular / BAM sits in a Aux send of the desk, definitly allways in reach for my modular.)

such a great module !

how about if you primarily use chrome with an adblocker, use safari just for the fx aid site, or vice versa. no problem here

Most adblockers allow you to switch off their protection for the desired page. Just do it for the editor page and it will continue to work for other pages unaffected.

Is FX Aid that good? This make me tempting FX Aid.
be aware: tastes on Reverbs differ ! and even more so:
do different audio signals shine with different reverbs !
This might play here a role ;)
but otherwise: yes !

it started with my ZDSP that i bought last summer. i just liked it way more with my modular signals than the BAM.
doing alots of percussive stuff myself. ......but also mangling vocal samples quite often
While the FXaid has now replaced the ZDSP for my daily patchings since day one.

The BAM ,and same was with the Space, does (to me) not sound right for high frequenzies on percussive materials, especially how the Reverb decays.
While i *totally* liked the BAM on Piano.
Not tested the FXaid on piano yet. Need to do !
BAM might be perfect for vintage synths, yes. But the FXaid suits me very well too when doing Vintage type darker synth sounds.
I like it on everything that comes out of my modular. Also totally for Vocals, even the unmangled ones.

for modular do i find the good reverbs you find on spin chip based FX way more suiting than all the stompbox reverbs i had.
The FXaid is doing a *very* fine job on Reverbs !
i have with the FXaid a nice selection of Reverbs with different flavours on my disposal.
And superimportant: its *never* a hassle or a fight to dial in the wished reverb sound.
its allways super easy, quick, and good sounding.....and not thaaat critical if i would have the dry/wet balance a bit too much on the wet side or not.
a really really really good experience.

considering the price and its small footprint and how much value i get out of the FXaid as a reverb,
would i say: is this quite amazing. really
A supergreat addition to eurorack land !

Weird thing for me is that clicking the "download memo" with adblock on in Chrome provides no browser response. Shouldn't I get some kind of "pop up blocked" flag? It took me forever to figure out what was happening. Maybe I'm too dumb for Eurorack. :cheesy:

@igorr - what a fantastic job you have done with this module and the website supporting it. Based on your reputation, I knew it would be pretty good but it has exceeded my expectations in every respect. I am almost certainly going to get another one as it is proving very difficult to choose which algorithms to put on it.

Yes this thing is truly amazing!

One request for the web app if possible... can you make it so that you can swap around the position of selected fx? I’ve mostly decided which algorithms I want on the module, but I want to play around with changing the order they are in, and currently I have to select each slot and change them one by one, while keeping track of which ones I’m overwriting...
Not a very important request, just would be nice if possible to make playing around with the algorithms even easier...

“Swap around” effects is added into the future update to do list.
“New notification” is already implemented.
I also updated delay effects for louder wet signal.
So everybody is advised to regenerate its desired effects set to take the louder output update into force.

I have to say, the FX Aid has surpassed my expectations by far. Sounds amazing and CLEAN. Far too many eurorack effects have terrible noisefloors.

Btw, @Igor, are there still plans for users to create their own effects and/or use existing spin effects?

That’s something I’d love to try out. I’ll have to look for resources for spin programming.

I still consider the possibility for the users to load third party’s effects. It requires a bit of FV-1 knowledge level. A lot of free effects have mistakes. Some Spin forum effects can not be directly copied, because forum update screwed text signs. So if the user has no Spin dev board to first test the effects – there will be many requests to check non-working effects.

Gotcha. I can see where there would get frustrating. Maybe put a disclaimer in that you’re not responsible for debugging effects that aren’t from the FX Aid.
