For those who've been waiting on their modules to clear customs, the tracking on mine has finally been updated:

"Your item arrived at our USPS facility in QUEENS NY DISTRIBUTION CENTER on January 4, 2020 at 1:23 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination."

Hopefully that means it's on the move again and will arrive next week.
Yes! I got this notification today, too!
where did you see that notification?
on the https://track.ukrposhta.ua/ site mine still shows in customs.
USPS tracking. Mine actually showed up today.
awesome!
how did you even get a usps tracking #?
It's actually the same tracking number, once the package gets to the states you can track it in the USPS system.
oh cool! Mine is one state away!!!!!!

Good grief. I have such bad luck. Finally my FXAid delivery was attempted today. My wife stepped out briefly, so no one was home for about 20 min and they wouldn’t leave it. Apparently it has to be signed for...

So, heads up for anyone else expecting one in the US.

Do you usually have to sign for your packages? Thanks for the heads up!

Not from the USPS, unless singature required is added, but this is an international package, so maybe that is the difference. I don't usually get packages from other countries other than Canada, and that's usually through DHL from Intellijel, which I can pre-sign for online.

Next run is going to be available mid-end of February. I can not predict exact dates, because parts are collected from at least six countries.

Hi Igor - The pitch shifting algos on my FX Aid seem to produce a bit of tremolo whenever the pitch is shifted by a significant amount. As far as I can tell this isn't caused by any outside interference, but seems to be part of the algo itself. Is this intentional? Is it possible to make versions of the pitch shifting algos that don't produce any tremolo?

It is a known problem with pitch shifters of this design. I will update the algo if noticeable improvement would be found.

I'd love to hear comparisons between the Pico DSP and FX Aid!

Can you please clarify how you see that comparison to be done? FX AID has stereo input, three adjustable parameters per effect, stereo Dry/Wet with CV, routable CV including sample rate adjustments, four presets, big updatable effects list.

I had to take my studio apart to do a live performance and only got to sit down with the FX Aid twice so far. Aiyn, your video is the inspiration I needed to put everything back together again. :woah:

Mostly on quality of sound alone. Comparing the reverbs, the delays, etc. I have a Pico DSP + a 1hp blank. If the HN FX Aid sounds better, I'll sell that for it.

Reverbs have many different qualities suitable for different tasks/material. That is why there is hardly exist single reverb suitable for most needs. And FX AID has so many different reverbs for this reason to be applied for particular sound.

Hi,

Are there any demos showing the delays and reverbs under significant modulation or feedback? I want to hear it do it's best erbe-verb "insane noises from the other world" territory, even though I know it's silly to compare the two..

If you will be able to improve its layout and do not be over 4 HP –please let me know:)

I understand reasons for keeping things small, I like compact modules... but I prefer ergonomic compact modules. Having 4 full knobs stacked in such a small space (where you can't actually grip and rotate the whole knob without touching other knobs), to me doesn't display great design principles.

I would much prefer the module to be 6 / 8 HP, better interface and layout design. Even the preset selection, I feel could be improved. The requirement to remember which effect is on which led combination, is tedious and if the recommendation is to 'bring along' a cheat sheet', there's another reason to improve things. Although, great job with the FxAidEditor.

Maybe I'm just picky but from my opinion, FX Aid is bad practical design. After listening to that demo, I think it sounds one of the best FX modules on the market, it's just a shame to cram such functionality into such a small design. Just saying, I would love the PCB design files to redesign a custom interface for myself, even if no-one agrees with me.
