I have mine and i love it, its probably the only fx unit i´ll have. A second unit would be awesome.
Here are a couple of videos i made with it

Wow! Really, really excited to get this now! Thanks for making those! It's funny that I'm mainly buying it for its impressive sampling/time-stretch feature, even though it isn't being marketed as a sampler. It's almost like I'm getting a super effects-machine as an added bonus!

So, so happy Paul and company seems to be on-track on proceeding into regular production, and by all reports, expects to be shipping them to dealers soon (maybe end of February, I'm guessing?). Has anyone compared the E520's output to any of the outboard heavy-hitters? (e.g., Strymon, Eventide, etc.)

Getting a used one tomorrow. Can’t wait to try it out. Especially curious about the stretching capabilities.

Just a heads up, pre-orders are open at some dealers and other dealers will post their pre-orders soon. I got mine in earlier today, so passing on the info since some people were curious.

some feature requests,
-the menu option to limit phase blur range on all algorithms that have phase blur such as Spectral Time Machine
-Spectral Time Machine menu option to have it always playing/recording and gate to tap/sync to stop recording buffer
-menu/preferences option for when loading algorithm to load parameters of the last instance it was saved, rather than loading the instantaneous knob positions. This would make it much more convenient to audition sounds
-option to get delay ranges down in fractions below 1, to have more fine tuning of very fast delay lines

algorithm request,
-multi-tap stereo delay. something super lush, with spacing of taps and tap detuning, and maybe menu option to choose which tap to feedback.

these make sense or have i missed something currently? happy to be corrected :)

why would you want to 'limit' phase blur?

sorry i meant “Blur Range” and “Blur Start” like in the Spectral Drone

thanks Paul, :)

In general, we divide up the parameters for each algorithm into "buttons and CVs"

the 3 buttons (#4 most always Bypass) and the 4 Parameters. Now, we can add stuff to Pg2 but only a fixed amount. This is because these values are stored off-chip into a small EEPROM. That EEPROM has a FIXED allocation of storage space to hold the info for a 'patch' so we cannot 'rollover' to Pg2.5".

This means if we spilt Phase Blur up into 2 parts like Range and Start, usually something else has to "go away" or move to Pg2 IF there is room.

I will ask Eric the DSP coder if there is space in the memory structure to split, but not every algo with Phase Blur will have room.

This is really both in the Pattern Delay and the Prime Delay. Implemented differently, but muti-taps you can set.

Ive tried both of them and although i like them a lot, i couldnt personally get what i would expect from a multitap, or at least my very narrow idea of a multitap delay for example the ‘Strymon Magneto’ kind of sound. The pattern delay reads as if it would be similar so its possible i was just failing in my own attempts—- which is what led me here though as i thought a more specific version to that sound could be useful

Read over the PDF manual, you may be able to get what you are expecting modifying the Pg2 stuff.

Will do, maybe ill establish a new mental connection to the pattern delay also. thanks for hearin’ me out though

Loving the E520 here. I remember Paul asking for ideas for new algo's. Don't know if that's still the case but I've got a few simple ones. Here's one for a start.

Sampler

I like the way the Modcan CV record is used in this video

don't know exactly what would fit best under the different knobs/buttons but as a first idea:

parameter 1: Sample start
parameter 2: Sample end
parameter 3: Speed
parameter 4: could be empty but it could be something extra over the Modcan module like bitrate or pitch
Feedback L/R: could be used as filter, just like it does in one of the other algo's (forgot which one exactly)

trigger button: start/stop sampling

haven't though about the buttons 1 - 4 yet. I'll wait to hear from Paul if this is a good idea/workable to put more effort in it if that's needed from me.

Sampler is the most requested mode. We are looking into how to best use things like the buttons.

Just got to play with this thing. Nice work. All the things I liked about the Orville interface - but better.

The “ sound” was expected to be good. ( and it is ) but I was very impressed with the easy to use interface.

Sorry Eventide. You had your chance.

When I got back into modular recently this, e370, and metropolix were the 3 must haves. Everything else orbits around them...

Thanks, I could have known it was a bit of an obvious idea. :-)

I've got another idea for a simple delay mode but will try to make a video for it. When I'm putting it into words it suddenly is a lot less simple. ;-)

I'm shipping to Control NYC this week and Signal Sounds next week.

Then I'm taking a week off :)

Could someone post examples of processing dry sung vocals with the spectral drone algorithm? I love the Michael Norris plugin for that application and would be thrilled to have that in the rack. Ideally could you sweep the mix so I can hear how it's processing?

I don’t know what kind of DSP is available but stacking effects would definitely be a request.
