Anyone (maybe an inside source) know when the next batch of ES-9 units will be headed to US distributors? Looking forward to getting my hands on one.

I just put my order in with PC at the end of Feb. Using your experience as a guide, I should expect mine to arrive in June. :despair:

Patience. :hail:

Just got my ES9 in Japan and i must say i am REALLY impressed. It sounds great and interfacing it with my PC has be more than awesome. Anyone that is on the fence about this IO interface don't be, just buy it. Also any ETA on ES5 mk3's coming to japan, because i might have to buy 3 of those now :bang:

ES-5s are due to leave the factory any day now.

Just checking you know you can't connect 3 E-5s to an ES-9. Maybe you want an ES-5 and two ESX-8GTs.

Oh really? so the max amount of ES5's you can connect is 1? I just want to have the ability of having 16 cv channel outs and 8 gate channel outs. I maybe a little confused on the best way to achieve that.

An ES-5 and an ESX-8CV attached to an ES-9 will do that.

Is anyone on Windows using the ES-9 with an AMD/Radeon graphics card? I have some issues with mine, with a 5700XT.

Strange...
I do not have both, but I would try:

- If you have a x570 motherboard, in the BIOS set PCIe to GEN 3, not AUTO or GEN 4
- Make sure to use the latest GPU driver version 20.2.2 release Date 3/5/2020
- Use DDU to remove the current driver and allow it to reboot in SAFE mode to do the cleaning
- With Autoruns try to disable

If all fails, disable the Services>AMD External Events Utility
But FreeSync will not work...

OMG I tested the whole day and it never crashed!!! I can't believe it! I was trying to find the cause for 2 weeks now! I played all day today and it was rock stable.
I really can't thank you enough, so glad to be a part of this community.
Gotta report this back to os now, it's really a strange incompatibility. Indeed I am using a x570 mobo with a 3700X.

I can live with using pcie3, framerates don't suffer much (1/2%)

Thanks again, this made me soo happy!

Taking the opportunity to post some data about noise in my unit. I am very happy with noise levels.
Sampling @88.2kHz, scope going up to 40kHz

Thanks for reporting back, I'm glad it ended well. :chug:

Until the drivers are more mature, the default recommendation for x570 users is to set the PCIe to GEN 3.

Wondering how this module works when not using USB to the computer... Could I say, use all 14 inputs and that runs directly to the headphone out? Just for listening / playback when on the go?

Or would I need a seperate headphone out / mixer module?

It has an internal mixer, which you can use without the USB connection.

Currently the mixer has only 8 inputs, but I plan a firmware version supporting all 14.

God knows. Coronavirus is wreaking havoc with everything at present, so if you want things at the moment grab them as soon as you see them... that would be my tip!

Keep well everyone :)

I just released v1.1.1 of the ES-9 firmware.
ES-9 firmware v1.1.1 is released. This version adds separate configurations for 'hosted' and 'standalone' modes, making it much easier to swap between using the ES-9 with a computer and without (for example, to use it as a standalone mixer without a computer).
Modules continue to leave the factory.

Wow. Great stuff! Thanks Os for listening to requests from customers :)
I've been amazed with ES-9 so far - super quiet and clear sound coming from my monitors - by far my fav ES module so far.
Es-5 on the way for more outs.

For those in the UK - Rubadub and Matttech both have a few last few modules in stock.

Awesome, thanks!
Forgive my noobness, does that internal mixer work with inputs coming from stereo outputs? Eg. L into 1, R into 2, a couple of mono inputs to 3 and 4...

Would the left and right signals still sound left and right? Or would they all appear mono through the headphone jack?

****edit****

Just did the smart thing and read the manual. Looks like I can route it how I want it.

Amazing module, thank you, excited about the new firmware too!
