Hi there! Second demo of the EnOsc: A simple medley of sounds. It should give you a idea of the palette of timbres that can be obtained. Like the prevous video, no modulation, no post-processing, direct stereo out from the module at various settings, using only the factory scales.

wow! that "watery" sound at the end. Brilliant work! can't wait to add this in my rack. :sb: :yay:

The new demos has impressed me a lot (wasn't that impressed with the first ones). I really like that it has that Freeze functionality, that will be quite useful and makes it stand out against modules such as E352, i think i will prefer this one over it..

It’s great. I love it. So versatile! I find that I prefer the sound when I lower the number of oscillators. With 2-4 oscillators instead of 16 the cross-mod is much cleaner. I only wish it had onboard attenuation for the modulation.

Perhaps addressable in a FW update?

Is this in stereo? Try the various stereo modes if you haven't, i bet that can make a bit of a difference in how clean it sounds.. In mono 16 oscs will most likely sound a bit.. messy.

It's not multi-voiced. It has several oscillators that can be different notes, but is one voice.
With its Freeze functionality you can say it's actually 2 voiced, though the second voice is just frozen (still, this if far better than most other multi-oscillators with just the one voice).

Well I cracked and got one on the way. This thing seems to have a ton of possibilities. I'm looking forward to playing with the twist and warp in relation to the harmonics.

Cannot wait. Mine shows up Tuesday; I've been looking for something to compliment my E370 for a while. I thought the Odessa was going to be it, but i'm glad I held off and got this instead. I think the learning curve is going to be pretty deep, but even in the short demos so far from the creators, ModBap, Devine, etc, there are some bonkers tones coming out of this thing. I can only imagine what starts happening when you throw some effects on it, filtration, etc.

Hadn’t intended to order the Ensemble, but I’m digging everything 4MS is releasing, so with the long weekend- I figured it would be fun to try. Totally blew my expectations out of the water—so expressive and the range of sounds is insane. Industrial noise to super melodic, and this is the easiest to control complex osc I’ve ever played. It doesn’t even need a filter because the control over timbres goes far beyond what most filters can do. The design is everything good about modular.

Will be more exciting than Tide 2018 4outputs in audio mod, or quantized Clouds grains. Ordered!

Just got mine in and *ZOINKS* this thing makes some bonkers sounds. You definitely want to go low-n-slow with the FM pot (and the Warp pot). But thing thing can generate some tones. I love the default sort of "massive cathedral organ" sort of thing that comes with moving the Root around, but adding in a bit of FM and Warp while playing with twist can get some nicely abrasive sounds as well; it doesn't have to sound beautiful if you don't want it to.

A lot of the previews have featured slow moving sequences and heavy modulation and twiddling of the various knobs, so just for the heck of it I slapped together a "faster sequence with minimal modulation" test in about 45 minutes of farting around. Faster sequence into the Root input, slower sequence into the pitch sequence, and a heavily attenuated triangle lfo into the Cross FM for the small repeating "whoosh." That's basically it. No modulation of anything else, no effects, no nothing.

So yeah, it doesn't remotely show off what the module is capable of (this thing is FUN FUN FUN to knob twiddle and doing something like this really doesn't do it justice at all), but if someone wondered what an example of a faster sequence with minimal modulation might sound like, here you go.

Ok, quick dumb loop test #2 just to explore the module a bit more. Realllllly simple drum loop and backing line from E370, but they're just there to provide a bit of structure. First few measures has basically no modulation at all, the ENOSC is just rising through a four-note scale using the Pitch In. Then at :15 Zadar provides a big inverted-U envelope to the Root In, (heavily attenuated) Cross FM, and (also heavily attenuated) Twist, while the basic four-note Pitch sequence continues. Again, no effects, no EQ, etc etc

Again, this is all super-dumb and super-basic, but the more sound samples that are out there right now the better. I'll stop posting now and let people who actually know what they're doing take over.

Loving it a lot and glad to finally have it in my life. Haven't made any scales yet but I'm excited about it.

I've enjoyed putting it through the WAVER using the different stereo spread modes.
