That's what I love about modular. Cool use cases for simple machines! It's a lot like logic design once you get out of the 'just NAND gates' level.
Another great example of this is the Serge Universal Slope Generator. Properly calibrated it can be just about any synth component: EG, VCO, filter, slew, maybe even a sequencer w/the end of rise and end of fall signals ( ... maybe :) )

So I've been comparing transistor ladder filters ever since I got the Behringer 904A I would like to share some audios for anyone considering building a system since the sound of the filter is such a key element of the sound you'll get, I tried the AION modular the Behringer 904A and the AJH Synth transistor ladder filter, granted the last one is not a 904A it is still a good reference for what you can get a on a module nowadays for your system, I wish I found this before and here it goes for anyone who might find it useful, the resonance in the three was the same and both 904s were in the full frequency range

This video is very interesting though I wish he had compared Moog 921’s with the B 921

Nah, not surprising at all. To me at least.
Maybe more people will be doing that too with their B55 module sets..

Notice the ARP 1027 he just punched on and 1050 in his avatar? He's got quite a few "pots of gold".

Big order of pots came in! Knobs for most* of them all shipped today too :-)

*-an order of knobs Thonk was left in front of my garage door last week. The one day I don't look before backing out, and I ran them over. Only one knob cracked - another knob sliced a gash in the side, most of the damage was to the little metal discs. Man I hate trying to get that plastic protector off the disc.

Is it possible to find a small case for the FFB only? I'm thinking to filtering out my synths (and I'm not in modulars).

You could try the Doepfer A100-MC (available in black or natural wood). The 914 is 28hp, the case is 32hp, so you'd need a 4hp blanking plate (or a 4hp module). PSU is included. Thomann UK do them for £99, which works out as €109 or $129US.

B914 Should also fit in one of the 4MS PODs?

Did I not give enough 4MS Pod details?
It's a much shallower option than the Doepfer. If that matters.

I must admit that I wasn't aware of the 4MS Pod. Now that I am I will certainly consider one for the theremin that I'm planning if I ever have any spare cash again . . .

Woo! How exciting.
After an unfortunate incident with trying to de-solder a jack socket, I'm back to plan-A making a nice tidy loom for all the connections that were behind the scenes on the original!

Could you share why you like it better? I listened to the each track a few times - and they all have desirable sounds at some point.

To me it sounds better than the AION 904a, it offers more functionality and I paid the same price.
