+1 for Pamela’s new workout. Still haven’t found anything that really compete’s at what it does.

3xMIA is also up there. Very simple and cheap yet super versatile.

For me, it’s the ES-8/ES-3 combo. 16 channels of anything I want from Reaktor and VCV Rack - pitch sequences, CV sequences, complex LFOs, multi-stage envelopes, cascaded function generators, digital oscillators, complex poly rhythm gate endeavors, etc. Plus 4 return channels to Reaktor for my multi-channel oscilloscope and/or modular to host control. Extremely powerful and flexible - not to mention that all of this can be stored in memory and daily recalled at performance time.

For me it is probably the Doepfer A-109 VC Signal Processor. A LP VCF, VCA, and VC Panner in one module normalized for a standard patch. All for just $175. I have two of them.

Doepfer A-119 (I have three). Does a lot for a small price.

Any number of Ladik modules due to their outstanding features small footprint and small price.

Doepfer VCF's... 18db, Wasp, SEM, etc.
FS: A-140-2 Dual VC ADSR, Erica VCA 2, SP-555 Sampler and more - CHEAP!!!

It would have been a tough call for me a couple of months ago, Rubicon probably, but I have to say Tete and Tetrapad have radically changed my abilities to create and control my music (if I can be so bold as to call it that) in ways I had not imagined! :sb:

+1 for Stages.
+1 for PNW.

I love my cheap LXd. I use like a VCA to smooth out complex oscillators. Massive bang for the buck.

I’ll add a new entry:
Frap Tools FALISTRI.
Combined with 321, its like MATHS at much higher level.
Then add the slew limiter, 4-quadrant multiplier that you can also use as a VCA. But where it just blew my mind is when you set it up as a VCO/EG/VCA - instant synth voice. And then set it up as two VCOs and cross modulate. It will even work as a formant oscillator. Just endless versatility.

It's not cheap, but Klangbau Köln Twin Peak Resonator - characterful filter, does lovely ping sounds, works as a normal sine VCO AND tracks very well :yay:

The Takaab LPGs for me too, have 2.

Ladik C-041 dual AD/AR - two punchy envelopes, can be used as a sort of gate to trig converter too, works nicely for pinging LPGs :cloud:

Not a single module but an integrated pair: Tete and Tetrapad.
So much control on offer.

Squid sample. Perhaps not the one whose sound I most like, but it allows me to do a whole drum kit plus some other sounds in such a small footprint.
