nonlinearcircuits NLC 2020 modules

Post by andrewF » Thu Feb 06, 2020 7:08 pm

I'm having a slow start to the year but here's the 1st one

1U PiLLs

This is a raw 12HP 1U version of the Mobius PiLL. It uses two cross-coupled Phase locked loop (PLL) ICs that go in and out of chaotic zones at audio rates. If you like making electronic noise, this module is for you.

Nice one! I'd love to see more NLC modules in 1u. Bongo maybe? Or a Neuron circuit since we already have the Difference Rectifier?

DAMN!!!
There must be a bracket to mount 1u modules, in 3u, stacked. I hope?

loving the nlc 1u line, hope you do enough so i can justify actually starting a 1u rack.

Justify? I think buying my first case and filling up the 1u with pulplogic modules quickly was one of the best decisions I've made with modular. This is magnificent icing on the cake

Yes there is. I saw pics of one on FB the other day........can't remember who makes them tho.
I suspect I will make a 4HP 3U version of PiLLs, it delivers a lot of entertainment.

Looks pretty interesting, although I hope someone posts more demos, something a bit mellower, if it can do that?
Loving my 1u Sloth btw...

And as for 1u in 3u, Pulp Logic has thought of that: http://pulplogic.com/product/euro-tile-carrier/

Edit: Syinsi too: https://syinsi.com/shop/tiles/eurorack-1u-tile-adapter/

Some news - nonlinearcircuits.com is now a webstore, no need to email your orders anymore (unless you want to)

Yes the website is looking sleek.

I recently built the 1U PiLL, along with a Signum and a Diff-Rect. Fun stuff. I'm glad I waited on filling up my 1U row.

The only problem is that now I prefer 0805 SMT to through-hole soldering...

Yeah, once you build with minimal snipping, THT seems like such a pain. Even prefer 0603 by hand to huge THT builds at this point.

Puts out a CV in response to lights and movement in the room. The one you can see was a very rough proto-type.

Clump - 4x4 VC Matrix Mixer

Half sized Cluster! Looks like it's still SMT but Cluster has often been what I consider 'so cool i'd try' for doing an SMT build. Nice to see a half-sized one with some improvements, too. All the more compelling.

Great work, all of it.

It sounds beautifully wet. I’d love to hear a pinging demo.

The 4x4 vca matrix definitely interesting as well

This makes me sooooo happy. Clear options for assembled modules for the solder-impaired! :miley:

looking forward to the frequency shifter --> https://www.instagram.com/p/CACc6WNhz3p/
what about a revised version of the DPfilter? this time with pcb mounted jacks
or a NLC version of the 259 complex oscillator/noise generator
this blank space left intentionally
