Neutron Question(total noob)

Post by JeremyIsADeadHead » Wed Feb 12, 2020 12:24 am

So I’ve decided to take the plunge into modular synths. I’ve played digital synths or “put together” for years.

I just bought a Behringer neutron and an Arturia keystep.

I’m trying get my neutron to only play when i hit the arturia. I’m using midi in.

Whenever I turn it in on, I immediately get a ton of buzzing. How do I accomplish this with patching?

And i read that I can patch the VCF to the VCA to skip over the overdrive. What are the ramifications for patching the VCF 1 to the VCA in instead of using the VCF 2 out into the VCA

Thanks,
Jeremy

Don't know how much help I can be becauae I am a total noob too - but - check your VCA Bias and make sure it is turned down. If it is turned up it negates the VCA envelope (envelope 1) and thereby produces sound independent of your midi controller key press.

You can use VCF1 and/or VCF2 seperately, they're just different modes of the same filter
