Help me move on

Post by plastilina » Thu Feb 13, 2020 9:59 am

Hello, can you all list a more complex patch?
I can only do something basic.

You asked the exact same 3 years ago.

One would expect you to know your system better after all this time :hmm:

Actually you post a lot of topics asking people to do patches for you. I don't know if it's your gimmick or something but it's a bit strange if you ask me

You again? I've seen you posting around here every year or so.
Every time, you ask how to have fun and/or make complex patches with a very unbalanced setup that has a slight difference from the previous iteration. (I noticed that this time you got rid of that drum module.)
Every time, people say to get more utilities or play around with VCV Rack to get a better idea of how to actually use a modular and what modules your system may be lacking, and every time (as far as I can tell), you ignore that advice only to come back next year with a variation on the same question.

Put your hardware modulars aside for a while. Go download VCV rack and play around with that to get an idea of what you're doing and what you need; you're not going to learn anything on that setup you have right now, and it'll be cheaper and easier to have you play around on software than to tell you what hardware you'd need to get to make that system of yours worthwhile. After you have a better idea about how patches work and why, then you can revisit your modular.
Read the Read the Soundonsound Synth Secrets articles. I doubt you'll do it though, and fully expect to see you here again about this time next year, asking the same question with a slightly different rack.

Legit question: is this a long-running troll? :zombie:

Your post history is super interesting.

You made plenty of knowledgeable posts, written in perfect english, where you show great understanding of modular.
I think what you’re seeing is quotes from other users in the post history.

Don't worry about it, I read worse English every day, written by English people.

My bad too then. We are certainly willing to help but i don't think it's that constructive to just come and ask us to make up patches for your system. if you have questions about modules or want to do something specific but don't know how or what modules you might need, that would be something easier to address.
