Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
My 1U row is: USB Power, Noise Tools, Buffered Mult, NLC Sloth (Apathy), NLC Signum, Dual VCA, Quadratt, and Pedal I/O.
I think the Quadratt is the only one that will never leave the case. IMO, modules that attenuvert/offset/mix are the most important to have in the rack, so having 4 channels that take up zero HP in the 3U space is great.
I'm also really interested in the clock divider that Shakmat is making. I think their 1U's are still prototypes though.

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
I just ordered the FSR 1U and Dual VCA 1U to complete my 84HP of 1U: USB Power, FSR, Dual VCA, Quadratt, Audio I/O, Headphone Out.
I use the Quadratt in every patch, so i'd have to say the Quadratt is my favorite.

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
Thanks for this thread. I will be building a case with two 59hp 1u rails, and this information is invaluable in picking modules. Quadratt and dual VCA are definites, maybe a pair in each row: 1u-3u-1u.

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
Steppy 1U is by far my favorite, but Quadratt is useful but a little boring.
And, Noisetools is a perfect addition to any rack.
Hell, I think I could make a rack solely with random/S&H modules.
Plus, not my favorite, but the most useful is the headphone out.

By far some of my favorite Intellijel 1U modules are Pulplogic

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
When I started building my Intellijel case, I knew I’d need a quadratt. I got a Steppy on a whim and because it was exactly the right size to fill my free space. I probably use Steppy more than any of my other 1u modules combined. It’s great with Pamela’s New Workout for 4-part sequences that don’t need cv so I leave my sequencers free for melodic stuff. The module I thought I’d use all the time but don’t is Zeroscope.

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
I just started out with my first case, the Intellijel 4U palette, and my only 1U module in it so far is the Steppy which I am loving for my purposes. I'll definitely be grabbing a quadratt when I can.

DOH!!
C'mon, a joke.
Or maybe a comment on how the Pulplogic series of 1U are more developed, but they have been around way longer.
comment: Wow, 3 posts for me in a relatively short thread.
Maybe a comment on how important 1U modules can be.

It’s a small 5v two conductor connection, not your normal euro power connector. It might be modable though.

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
I know, this module looks good. I have one on order but still waiting for delivery.
Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
* Audio I/O because it's just awesome have your I/O permanently connected to your audio interface and still be able to close the lid.
* 2x USB power: I use one to power a Arturia Keystep, the other for a USB lamp
* 2x Quadratt: it's super versatile.
I also have a 1U Buff Mult, but I feel a 3U 2hp buffered multiple is actually way more space efficient than a 1U 14hp one..

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
I completely agree with this, and it bothers me as well. I haven't done the math, but the 1U buff mult looks like it take up about twice the surface area of its 3U counterpart, and it only gains one mult per channel (2 x 1:4 mults in 14hp of 1U vs. 2 x 1:3 mults in 2hp of 3U).
The limited height of the Intellijel 1U tile seems to permit only two rows of jacks or one row of knobs, and that puts a severe constraint on how space-efficient the interfaces can be. Still, I try to see my 1u row as "bonus space", and every module I put there is just hp gained in a 3U row, where the real estate is more valuable.
If you haven't noticed the separate thread, Intellijel just released a 1U multi-effects tile: https://www.modulargrid.net/e/intellijel-multi-fx-1u
It looks interesting, and it sounds considerably better than their 1U Digiverb [and it's in )))stereo(((!!!], but it takes up 24hp for only three effects, and there is no voltage control except clock syncing.
Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
Noisetools is just such a handy mod to have. It's probably the one I use the most.
I've had the dual vca on order for over a month and I heard the it will still be a month more to wait. That one will probably get a lot of use also.

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
I've 10hp left in my 1u row and I struggle to decide if I should get a second audio i/o to give me 4 outs from the case or get the 1u vca, I do need a regular vca to add to my optomix

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
They just announced a multiFX which looks interesting. It looks stereo - but in reading the manual it seems it sums to mono first for the delay which is a bit disappointing. Would have loved a stereo delay in 1U

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
I just realized that the Multi FX isn't the only 1U module that Intellijel just released. The also released a Stereo Line In 1U with a Stereo Line In Jacks 1U. This is nice, as there has always been a Stereo Line Out 1U that connects directly to the output jacks in the Intellijel 7U/4U cases, but the only way to do with with line in was with the Audio I/O 1U, which is pretty huge. Now one can get the separate Line In and Line Out modules and it saves up 4hp.

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
It sums mono for all three effects.
Delay is mono at the output, Reverb and Chorus are stereo.
Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
I like Quadratt, Noise tools, USB Power and Line Outs.
I am also using a Digiverb, FSR and Buffered Multiples, these are okay but not a must have for me. Multiples also take a lot of space in comparison to their 3U siblings.
The VCA is not really worth it to me, a 2HP 3U dual VCA seems a better option.
Decided against the 1uO_c 4Robots from Plum Audio as its pricey and uses too much space in comparison to a 3U micro O_C (which I got instead).
The Apex 4Robots (MI Peaks) seems more interesting, saving more space in comparison to a 3U Peaks and there are CV Expanders. Anyone using one? Would be curious to know if the CV Expanders are worth it.
