I'd replace Steppy with the 1U o_C, unless you really want the playability of Steppy, or don't like menu diving. That way, you'd have pitch and gate sequencing in the box.

Ive taken out the Steppy. Actually I dont have any onboard sequencing planned right now - I thought I'd add the 1U MIDI instead.

Polaris is a great filter, don't let one person's opinion sway you. Listen to as many demo videos as you can before you buy. The Polaris excels with a little bit of high-frequency FM mixed in to the cutoff. It sounds a lot like a Cwejman to me, for way cheaper.
