Just wanted to praise Sebastien Leger for his creative work here on his modular. Superb work. A++

For those who haven't come across this yet, thought I'd share

Fun. Sinfonion clearly at the core of this patch.

hes so good
it always feels so nicely composed, he definitely has a good strategy/approach for it. Still allows him plenty of free time for those trippy sound explorations intermittently without losing the flow.

id love a good clear idea of how the main ‘brain’ of it is structured, and every time im curious about his 4x mother32 play into it all.

That was fun - really well put together.

What’s the playable touch strip - a Haken mini?

I expect it’s the Doepfer ribbon controller.

The ContinuuMini—I have one—isn’t particularly suited to this sort of use.

his visual fx budget is almost as big as the modular synth budget

This would be great to see. Maybe Sebastien can chime in here

It's the ribbon of the Doepfer A-198
http://www.doepfer.de/a198.htm

If you pause the video at 1:13 you can see in the bottom left the Doepfer logo on the ribbon
Made in Italy and exported to NYC

Amazing and very inspiring!

I remember when the first batch of 12“ came into the record shop!

Unfortunately, I don‘t think Sébastien gets enough attention (or credit) in the modular community, while some rather nerdy/hipster-ish bleepers are hyped a bit too much in my opinion (no names mentioned). You know, guys that focus more on capturing their coffee mug and some sophisticated book meticulously placed next to their music instrument.

But who knows, perhaps he is not interested in interviews or web-sessions for rig rundown etc...
I would love to hear about his creative approach, his journey into modular, and experience as a top notch DJ and musician.
Maybe he is more active in the French speaking community.

Anyways... chapeau Sébastien!
