What does it usually mean if the -12V led is out on an Intellijel Bus Board?

Post by zerodivide » Thu May 21, 2020 10:02 pm

My modules started acting super weird today, so I trouble shooted it to my Intellijel case (this one being the 4u 84 hp kind).
I found a thread online where they said to check the bus board's led lights. I noticed the -12v one isn't on. Any ideas what this could mean?
Rene seems to work ok on this case still, Plaits and Morphagene do not work. Is it unsafe to use in the meantime?

ps: I emailed support obviously but waiting to hear back so decided to ask here :)

Oh wow so I never even understood that thanks. So it should be safe to use in the meantime, yeah?
Also does this usually mean a new board is required?

I think it explains why that particular module is still working, but I should have added that I don’t think it’s a good idea to use it - if anything, it indicates a problem with the PSU. I would wait whT customer support say, but I’d expect it has to be repaired or replaced.

I have a 7u! Plus this 4u. 11u is my current hard limit so that this addiction doesnt spiral out of control (for now! haha)
