Resonant filter similar to Entity Perc synth?
What's out there that is similar to the External In filter etc on the SSF Perc Synth?
I had it for a while and what impressed me the most with it was the external input, how you could even affect pitch of the sound. I don't really know what the "pitch" is though, its obviously not sampling the sound and then pitching it.. I'd love to have a filter with same type of feature.
Any ideas?
edit:
This is what they say about the pitch feature btw,
"PITCH affects the frequency of the resonant filter. The nominal control range is from about 8Hz to 2.2kHz. This range is expanded upon use of internal and external control voltage sources."

Re: Resonant filter similar to Entity Perc synth?
I have the SSF Perc but haven't used the ext in yet. However, I believe what's going on is that you're sending an audio signal through a filter that has high resonance and is self oscillating so you're getting a mix of the ext signal and the self oscillation of the resonating filter. If you like the particular sound of the filter in the SSF Perc then try out the SSF stereo dipole filter. It shares similar sonic characteristics.

When you send an external signal through the Entity Percussion you are sending it through a bandpass filter, a wavefolder (harmonics) and a VCA.
You go too high too early, man. The beat sounds like the a slow mudslide and the melodies that go on and on.

aha, interesting.
Maybe i just should have kept it lol.. quite liked it for external in, but wasn't overly impressed with it as a perc synth otherwise.

Love the entity PS. One of my favorite voices out there for weird synth stuff and for actual percussion stuff.
