going to be a long wait until release :waah:
The MG page currently says "Ships August 7, 2020".
Says expect late 2020 in the video :hmm:
To clarify, the firmware and open source support will be available late 2020. The module will be available Aug 7.

this might be the one. is this module expected to act as a spooky sound generator like erbeverb? should be amazing to feedback patch it with the distortion modules... sounds steller anyway.

This was what came to my mind right away: feedback patching. The ducking capability will be great for that... and for designing industrial techno Kicks/basses.

Yes that's a more accurate way to describe it. Desmodus is their effects platform, and they also have an oscillator platform coming.
Any info out yet on the osc platform yet? I was considering getting the manis in the near future, but that may be worth waiting for...

Whether it has been drum machines or other euro sounds, anything going into this module sounds awesome coming out. I don’t know the last time i preordered a module, but instantly worth it. Knobs feel different from other modules, but the time stamp of production is a neat touch (mine was built at 2:26pm but I forgot the date)

I’ll buy whatever NE makes, but doing these stereo effects are ultra sharp

mainly interested in hearing how it holds up against erbeverb as drone source... especially with some of their distortion modules in the loop. anyone.?

Here it is on a static drum pattern, starting dry and ending dry, everything else is the module.
This is not an attempt to do anything other than put it through it's paces, but it's good to get a
feel for the sounds it can make. Full stereo, the drums are the assimil8or.

Sry this is a test, I'm not going to put it on sound cloud, just google drive.

How do I get this in Europe asap?!
The website says random 1 month delays in shipment are possible due to covid-19. I.e. after they send it out.

I've always really liked the sound of effects that are interrupted or altered heavily in-flight. I used to do it with sending midi program changes to fx boxes.
This module is capable of that sound too... Abrupt reverb tail endings or abrupt end of feedback swells... I love it. Should be ace paired with a sequencer.
Also love the inbuilt ducking.

Got mine in the mail recently. I wanted to try playing some simple guitar chords through it and experiment with the auto ducking feature, which essentially sidechains the reverb effect to the dry input. I also used an envelope follower on the guitar to extract an envelope and modulate the tone parameter, which gives a nice filter sweep on the wet effect, which combined with the volume swell from the auto ducking made some cool sounds.

Here is a photo of it in silver for comparison.

Mine arrived today, this thing is insane. I'll try put up a demo or two this week for those still waiting. It does nice standard delays/verb to complete batshit (no pun intended) chaos. Anyone waiting is in for a treat when theirs arrive.

Owner of Erbe-Verb, any comparison?

I’m tempted to sell Erbe-Verb for this one but i didn’t read anywhere any specs, if anybody could make any comparison on stereo imaging would be nice.

Here's kind of a weird track that uses the Desmodus V in a creative attempt. The intro is meant to sound like
a ship creaking on the sea, the sound of the waves is literally me pressing the FSU button on DV. The module is
right before the output, so everything in the rig is going through it. The orchestral/Theramin sounding stuff is the
Sequential Pro 3. The eurorack parts are pretty much just the Rossum Assimil8or and Trident. A Fun and interesting
module.

Thanks for listening.

I'm really curious about how well the CV inputs can handle fast changes in modulation, whether audio-rate or something like an envelope. especially a parameter like Size, which responds uniquely well to voltage control on the Erbe Verb and doesn't really have a match in that department (except maybe Desmodus ?)

I am really happy with the FX I use ITB, and if an FX module can't respond to CV with more fidelity or interest than a VST that's being modulated by a Bitwig or max4live LFO, I personally don't care to keep it in my system.

It seems to be pretty fast though it can be difficult to hear as things start to overlap, but I can definitely
hear modulation changes at or near audio-rate.
