Does anyone know if there's going to be a Stillson Hammer MK3 soon?

Maybe this is an indication that something's cooking...

If they are working on a MKIII, I'm hoping they do away with the sliders. I probably would have kept the MKII otherwise.

What did you dislike about the sliders, out of curiosity?

I just don't find sliders to be accurate or intuitive when dealing with a multi-octave pitch range. I had the same problem with the Varigate 8+. Both the Stillson Hammer & V8+ have ways to isolate the range of the sliders to minimize the frustration of overshooting the desired pitch, but I just found those workflows to get in the way of what I was trying to do, rather than aid in it.

The only modules I have right now with sliders are the WMD Mixer, and Batumi. The sliders make sense on the mixer, and I begrudgingly except them on Batumi.

Absolutely love the MK2. If there was pattern chaining and more pattern slots, this thing would never need an update. I love the sliders!

Knowing IME a discontinuation doesn’t mean something is happening immediately. Curious how a sequencer implements the MKiii preset manager.

That’s more an issue with the programming than the hardware.

Shmkii was fantastic. Better with the updates since it always seems to have a couple bugs.

Anyone with experience with the Vector? How does it compare to the MK2?

There are sooooo many threads about the MK2 and sequencers and what compares to what. Search around and watch some youtube videos. Also check this brilliantly made chart
