Hi everyone,

I would like to share with you the Wavefonix Eurorack modular system that I have designed; soon available to order:

The main design focus is a visually clean, uncluttered and ergonomic interface.

Of course, I will also upload video and sound demos of the modules, as I realise how important this is to buyers.

Sorry about the lack of demos anywhere. I only started up the website a few weeks ago or so. So it is still in it's infancy. But I will certainly upload sound demos and the manuals for each module on my website as and when I can.

Just thought I'd share a bit more information about some the modules i.e. a general overview of the features and specifications:

3340 VCO

Features

• Original CEM3340 (Rev. G) architecture for a rich, analog sound.

• Four simultaneous, buffered 10Vpp (±5V) waveforms including DC-coupled ramp, triangle and sine and pulse outputs, with a controllable PW and PWM CV input (0V to 10V). Pulse output is derived from the CEM3340's triangle waveform using external circuitry.

• Coarse and fine frequency control knobs provide an adjustable frequency range of approximately nine octaves (approximately 8Hz to 16KHz).

• 1V/octave input providing accurate tracking over more than ten octaves.

• Controllable CV inputs for linear and exponential FM.

• Comparator-based soft (with adjustable level) and positive/negative hard sync inputs offer versatility; allowing the VCO to be synced to many different types of sources, such as envelopes, sine waves, gate signals and so on.

1847 Wavetable Oscillator (VCDO)

Features

• Versatile 8-bit VCDO providing 16 oscillator and 8 sub-oscillator (selectable at 4 different octaves) waveforms, arranged in a wavetable.

• Frequency range of 8.18Hz to 8,372Hz (ten octaves) with coarse and fine controls.

• Bitcrush input allowing output resolution to be varied between 1-bit and 8-bit.

• Controllable glide (portamento).

• Dedicated CV inputs for 1V/octave, main and sub FM and waveform select and bitcrush.

• 8-bit, 62.5KHz sample output rate. Internal waveforms and calculations are 8-bit and new samples are output via the on-chip PWM modules at 62.5KHz. The PWM modules’ outputs are at 125KHz. The fact that this is higher than the sample rate allows more effective PWM filtering to be applied. A two-stage 24dB Bessel filter provides the best-possible pulse filtering.

3340 Low-Frequency Oscillator (LFO)

Features

• Original CEM3340 (Rev. G)-based LFO with a range of modulation options including PWM and an FM input calibrated to 1V/octave when FM knob is fully clockwise.

• Can be used as a VCO.

• Three simultaneous, buffered 10Vpp (±5V) waveforms including DC-coupled ramp, triangle and pulse outputs, with a controllable PW and PWM CV input (±5V).

• Overall frequency range of approximately 0.05Hz to 4.5kHz (e.g. when using a 1V/octave source). By default, the coarse and fine frequency control knobs provide a frequency range of approximately 0.05Hz to 100Hz (this range can be changed using a trimmer on the PCB).

• Comparator-based reversing sync input allowing the LFO to be synced to many different types of sources, such as other LFOs, envelopes, gate signals and so on.

Awesome. the Aries AR-338 is a great sounding oscillator based on the SSM2030 if you're looking for inspiration. But the new SSI2130 has potential for more, such as through-zero FM.

The passive DAC is a cool idea, I sometimes patch together a little thing just like that to generate melodies from multiple unsynced LFO rate square waves.
